Youre riversider should be warrantied. I love mine. I have 3. Owned 5 total. All 10ft ultralights running 6-8lb main line and 4- 6lb leader on 2500 and 3500 series reels. I run the 3500 for fast water and salmon / trout drifting the run with 250yds + of line. I would absolutely use it at your spot. I favorite rod rn is a 7ft ML fenwick with a 2500 reel. I caught all my slobs with it this year all with the same 1/8 tube jigs on 6lb.
