You're the man Steve. I've had my .22 Flashpup for a few months now and it's a beast. The hammer spring can be adjusted easily. I move between 22 and 36 fl/lbs depending on whether I'm plinking or dispatching varmints. It's a piece of cake to work on and accurate as all get out.

Steve. Ive been following you for some time now. I find your reviews concise and accurate. I bought the tacair lightning compressor. Another derivitive of a chinese 2 head platform. However Hatsan nailed it. Wow a auto purge, cotton fiber & a dessicant drying system. Again WOW. A class by itself. Great machine. Digital controls make it much easier to use. I also enjoyed the reviews on the streamline and crown. Im leaning on the crown. .25cal. Which would ypu think an old vet. Would enjoy better?. Synth. For sure. I have a sumatra .25 & that flashpup .25. WOW Nail hammers.! @ 50yd.s let me know please. Email me at aceelectrick@aol.com or leave a reply here. Rick. Thanks. That compressor is made by Tuxing, they also make the Air Venturi Nomad II PCP compressor. I have all 4 and they do indeed have all the same part numbers. You can buy directly from Tuxing and save 100 dollars but you will not get the Hatsan or Air Venturi warranty which isn't that big of a deal as they are easy to work on and use the same parts. Tuxing also makes great repair and maintenance videos for all these compressors. They are great little portable compressors but super loud, lol. Awesome review.

I bought the Flash QE (Rifle) from Airgun Depot on sale for around $260 (now its $289.99). The rifle, a Q7 hand pump, and a big tin of JSB's put me out $411. Make sure you buy the quick connect because neither the pump or gun comes with it. But dang guys what a bargain, its such a good gun for that price, just keep the pressure between 180-150 bar and its surgical.

It's nice to see more bullpup setups out there now a days.
I used to convert my Ruger 10/22s into pups, and now I have a Gladius, and love it.
NY weather is harsh now, so I put up the powder burners, and made an indoor pcp rifle range..
This Flash Pup looks great, I just prefer rifles that offer adjustable power level settings.
Being able to kick down the velocity is a plus - especially given my current shooting conditions.
Anyways.. I've always used higher end pellets in my air rifles..
In .22 cal, I've always used JSB Exact Heavy 18.13 grains, and had fantastic results.
Well, I was at WallyWorld the other day, and spotted some Crosman Premier .22 Hallow-points..
I grabbed a tin of 500 for like 7 bucks, and figured I'd give them a go - not expecting much at all..
To my surprise, these lighter 14.3 grain pellets actually grouped amazingly!
I'd heard rumors that Hatsan guns [barrels] could be picky, but nope, not in this case..
The Premiers shot just as well as the Exact Heavy pellets, and at half of the price tag.
[I was shooting both JSBs and Premiers on power settings 4 and 6, then settled at 4, 1/2 power]
For shooting indoors til' spring, they'll be my new go-to rounds for sure!
So there's a heads up for everyone - just in case you haven't tried them yet.
    Sam -

Hi Sam. My bad... the Flash's hammer spring tension is easily adjusted when you take the stock off. Folks have ready pushed them upwards of 45 fpe in .22 with the 25 gr. Also, if ya head over to AEAC Home, I released a vid just 2 weeks back on the Kalibrgun and it too performed well with Crosman Premiers in that vid. Steve

Steve, thank you very much for the extra information! That's great to hear!
I'll most definitely be checking out more videos, as they're some of my favorite on TH-cam.
You do an amazing job of covering everything, and the production level is top notch!
BTW, I've been scouring the net for everyone's reviews on the Puncher Breaker,
as I've had my eye on those for quite some time now..
Your review was awesome, and seriously has me leaning towards of of those now too!
      Thanks again!
      Sam -
[EDIT] As of 12/12 I've officially added a Puncher Breaker Silent Marine .22 cal to my collection!
1st Impressions - Killer little rifle! I removed the shroud, fitted my DonnyFL Ronin suppressor,
and within a few minutes, I was stacking pellets. Awesome!
After I lower the trigger lbs of pull a little bit, I'll be digging just about everything it!
[Only con - non adjustable butt pad, but, I'll be working on that one]

I purchased the Flash in .25, partially based on your review. I am very happy with the performance and with only a hammer spring adjustment it shoots JSB King's at 40fpe over 20 shots. I love the gun but have some concerns. I emailed Hatsan USA twice about a couple of issues, I also called and left messages and they never responded. Although these are not issues that require warranty service, I would feel better with Hatsan products if they were more responsive. I also started a forum poling at GTA a while back about the subject and responses were split as to quality, and moreover customer service being unresponsive. Again, love the guns value and the performance, and considering a BT65 but their lack of responsiveness is a concern as well as almost half of the responses I got were complaints of quality and the lack of customer support.
Since you say you are "partnering" with them on some level, and I very much trust your honest opinions, I'm wondering if you have had the same feedback about them. I also am curious why they "seem" unaware or unconcerned with the perception of the consumer.
Thank you for all your hard work and I can't wait for your review!

    • @dcmtrader
      @dcmtrader 5 ปีที่แล้ว

@@aeacvlog2033 Like I said I don't have a warranty issue. My first problem was the gun was very under powered (650fps) and seems to be an inconsistency in tuning from the factory compared to listed specs (900fps), many owners have commented on this. Mine was easily tuned. My other concern is that the bore in the receiver where the bolt rides is VERY rough looking but has not caused any issues in function with the exception of cocking effort. I plan to fully disassemble, polish and modify some things so I doubt warranty service will be an option after that, lol.
I appreciate your concern and offer to help but assistance is no longer required, as others, I have handled it myself. I do feel for customers hat do not have that ability and maybe directing them to the thread with comments about Hatsan could give them a good perspective on what people think about their company and product.
      www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=148825.0
Many have stated that they think they get a better product in a refurbished gun than from the factory as the USA team has more attention to detail and working out the bugs. I do understand it's not a high end product but it seems a bit more attention to detail from the factory could solve a lot of issues but that is likely a management / bottom line decision.
      Thank you for your time!

Steve, the 115/230vac to 12vdc power supply has a fan. does your power supply fan engage immediately or is it temperature controlled? I just pumped up my Benji from 1,000 to 3,000 psi. my pump worked like a champ but the power supply fan never came on. should I look into getting a replacement power supply?
never mind, I just got to the part where your fan engaged (immediately).

I only paid $229 for my Yong Heng compressor 2yrs ago and filled my gun with it and only took about 20 seconds for about a month until I found a great deal on a 30min 4500psi SCBA fireman’s tank. I only have to fill my SCBA tank once every 2 or 3 months depending on how much I shoot. My new Skyhawk I purchased at that time holds 3325psi of air and the hand pumps are a nightmare at these pressures. I haven’t had a single problem with my Yong Heng compressor however it’s not really portable but my tank is. Purchasing any kind of compressor and or tank will make your shooting experience about 100✖️ better and you will go thru ammo at least twice as fast. Keep shooting & be happy fellow shooters.👍🇺🇸

Will you be doing a full review of the Spark compressor? What kind of maintenance is required? Does it use coolant that needs to be replaced/replenished? What is the maximum duty cycle?

    • @HatsanUSAInc
      @HatsanUSAInc 6 ปีที่แล้ว

The Hatsan Spark compressor is designed to be self contained and maintenance free, in other words no lubrication intervals. The compressor does come with spare O-rings to rebuild it if needed but we recommend returning it to HatsanUSA for service to maintain the warranty. The Spark is an air cooled unit that does not require coolant. The maximum duty cycle is filling one 1000cc 4500 psi cylinder at a time then let cool down and fill another. If you require filling more volume or to fill multiple guns in quick succession we recommend the Hatsan Lightning compressor.

Does the blue end of the whip cord that connects to the compressor unscrew? My spark compressor came with some small white cylinder filters which are about one inch long but I’m not sure where they go. I am thinking they go inside the blue part of the whip cord but I didn’t want to unscrew that piece if the filters don’t go inside of that area.

For what it's worth I've seen how the pros use the gel with a compressor in an industrial setting. They used silica gel beads, same come that come with clothes and is super cheap. They'd take out the old beads every couple of days and run them through the oven on a pan to bake out the moisture and just keep using them.

I'm surprised it doesn't have an auto shut off. It looks so similar to the Air Venturi Nomad which I bought last Spring. The Nomad has an auto shut off but you have to keep watch the first couple of times as the pressure reading is not completely accurate, at least on mine. My only complaint with the Nomad is they could make the electrical whip a few feet longer. Enjoy. They are great out in the field shooting all day.

  • @Jlitnin01

Hey Steve. I remember you saying you adjusted the trigger to under 1 lb.
I turned the main pull force adjustment screw all the way, but it is still way too heavy for my liking. Do you have any suggestions on how I can lighten it beyond the main adjustment screw (the one closest to rear of the stock). Thanks for any help you can offer.

I'll be really interested in seeing the full review. My initial thought is that producing an unregulated PCP in todays market is going to be a tough sell at any price point considering the competition. However if it can perform as you intimated and deliver 25-30 shots with regulated accuracy, the rest of the guns attributes may actually outweigh the lack of a regulator. We'll see soon and until then I'll reserve any judgement (a pretty hard thing for me).
BTW Athlon scopes are extraordinary across all their range. I own one, the 8-32x50 FPP, and it's brilliant at under 400 dollars. I've also shot with the 6-24x50 SFP and it is every bit as good optically as my scope. Throw in Althons first rate customer service and lifetime warranty and you'll be hard pressed to find a better value.
Looks like a really nice package all in all, with the newly branded compressor as a cherry on the top (albeit a noisy little cherry) the whole package is going to really light up some lucky winners holiday season.
    Great stuff. ...TY

Hi Johnny. Yes, I shared the results of this for y'all on AEAC's Instagram & Facebook. Steve

I saw the video which shows JBS, Diabolo Field, and H&N, but I can't find the Crosman Premiere results. Can you please give me a direct link? Thanks!

I'm confused by your question Johnny as I provided instructions in the vid for y'all on how to find this stuff. I actually said aloud, "for discovery and approach visit me on Facebook and Instagram" as well as provided detailed instructions on how to find me there. I'm confused as to why you're asking me for things I've already given ya'll 🤔

    • @Jlitnin01
      @Jlitnin01 5 ปีที่แล้ว

I did find you there, but there is alot of stuff there and I am not experienced with those sites, so I am having trouble finding Crosman results. All I really want to know is if the Crosman Premieres are accurate in this gun.

Not being negative about the Spark or anything, it's a good compressor but the Yong Heng for hundreds of dollars less, it dosen't care about filling tanks, it bangs out 1hr tanks from 2 bar to 3 bar in like 8 mins one after another, plugs into the wall without buying a transformer and let's face it, if I was going out into the wilderness I would just take a 45min or 1hr tank with me and be done with it.
And if I really needed to have it with me in the woods I would just plug it into the outlet in the back of my SUV because most of them now have a 120vac inverter already built in.
    Just saying

Why pronounce Hatsan as "Hut-sahn"? I know Hatsan is originally a Turkish company, but what's wrong with the natural English pronunciation, "hat-san" (rhymes with cat-tan)?

    • @deaczorz

Getting a portable compressor is not the way to go, as a car mechanic I would not connect that to my current gen car. Get a carbon tank and fill it at home and then bring that to the range. Better and faster, maybe even cheaper but thats up for debate tho.
Most ppl are happy with them, ofc when it comes to bottom tier products then there will be quality issues. That said, Hatsan is in the same bracket as YH as far as im concerned
