  • Hello :)
This year I returned to Iceland to hike the Fimmvörðuháls Trail. I did the trail in reverse from Skógar to Landmalagauver, and if I were to do it again I would do it in reverse too.
The weather was perfect and the traffic was a lot thicker this year. I did it in five days and I think it's perfect timing.
Enjoy the video and please let me know what you think:)

All this is very nice. You have to go on with your Chanel. Regards from southern Chile.

Thanks for making the video. Really enjoyed it. And found it helpful given I’m doing this in 3 weeks (minus Skogar to Porsmork). How did you find Afltavatn to Landmannalaugar? I’ve heard it’s really tough.

of course! I did Afltavatn to Landmannalaugar in one day and hiked for ~12-13 hours (in good weather conditions; rested well) It's certainly not easy; a lot of up and down. If you've been doing any sort of training you should be fine:) A lot of people do in in one day!

Loved your video, very helpful! I am doing this trek in about a week and a half and am so worried about gear decisions. Did you wear waterproof boots?

Hey thank you! I did wear waterprrof boots because it's better be prepared than sorry ;) I've seen other people just wearing regular sneakers and they were doing fine too. I guess it really depends on the weather.

Some good trekking boot, "Chiruka, Mammut..." will work. Don't the high mountain stuff, regular lighter trekking ones ;)
