- Hi guys! Today we will have a long video with engine detailing. Let me remind you that in this series we are building NuNu's Lancia Delta S4.
Since in this model the engine is given in some detail, we have a little space for creativity. I had to look through a lot of references in order to understand which wires, hoses are used, and most importantly, how they are connected. For detailing, I used many different wires, transparent pipes for the fuel line, imitation of flexible metal hoses. In addition, I created 3D models of components that were not in the set and printed them. Fans of technical accuracy, do not judge strictly, I could be wrong in detailing due to insufficient information on the real prototype. The whole work took a very long time, about 75 hours. I've been building models for longer than I'd like to admit. Never have I seen your level of detail & attention. As far as accuracy, no race car is like any other. I doubt anyone beyond a team technician could find any fault.

From tig welds made from glue to the the coil inside the heat shrink to keep it from kinking that was 29:49 of pure artistry. I’ve seen a few modelling channels but this is a few levels above all of them. 👏👏👏👏👏👏

I watched this video on my TV. If you view it on a phone, you miss most of what he is doing. I was amazed by all of the tiny detail work you did Oleg! The tiny fittings, the welds, the wiring... you made this kit beyond belief. I’ll stick with box stock my friend 😁

Love your use of putty and styrene to simulate weld lines. Ingenious!
thanks:) styrene weld lines are easier to make, but putty can take any complex form.
The amount of datails is insane. Marvelous. The only thing that I don't like too much is the Kevlar decal. It looks a bit off in front of all that impressive work.
may be that is because kevlar is not weathered and looks vivid. thanks man!

Wonderful, methodical, minimal production here. I really liked the music and mood. Regarding your soldering, keep working at it! The basic problem is your metal surfaces are not warming up enough to receive the solder - you are making what is called cold solder joints. Keep the iron on your metal longer; once the flux boils, slowly add solder to the iron tip. It will flow to the flux once you have enough solder on the iron. Beautiful result, Oleg - I was wondering what happened to this model! Haha.

That's art. But isn't a piece missing? The turbo inlet is open so far as i can see, there should be the connection to the airfilter.

thanks mate. Hose connectors i printed myself. Tie wraps are from Czech truck model CTM 24081 Cable binders

Hello, firstable my best compliments for your amazing job. Please, Can you tell tell me the size of hose joints and braided lines you used for gearbox oil? I saw you scratch build an exagonal tube tube for ignition, what size is and were I can found it? I hope I haven't disturb you with my questions. Compliments again
Thanks mate! as i can remember, for gearbox i used 0,6-0,8mm braided pipes. Hexagonal pipe is scratchbuild from 2mm tamiya's round beam. if you need i can send you some 3d parts to print them. you can write to my email.

Hi, thanks! Some parts are from detail up set for this kit, some parts 3d printed. Tubes etc are MFH clear tubes.
