After Midnight 🎤Lyrics:
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang down
After midnight, we're gonna chug-a-lug and shout
We're gonna stimulate some action
We're gonna get some satisfaction
We're gonna find out what it is all about
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang down (after midnight, after midnight)
After midnight, we're gonna shake your tambourine (after midnight, after midnight)
After midnight, it's all gonna be peaches and cream (after midnight, after midnight)
We're gonna cause talk and suspicion
We're gonna give an exhibition
We're gonna find out what it is all about (what it is all about) (what it is all about)
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang down (we're gonna let it all hang down)
(We're gonna let it all hang down)
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang down
After midnight, we're gonna shake your tambourine
(We're gonna shake your tambourine) (we're gonna shake your tambourine)
After midnight, it's all gonna be peaches and cream
(We're gonna shake your tambourine) (we're gonna shake your tambourine)
We're gonna cause talk and suspicion
We're gonna give an exhibition
We're gonna find out what it is all about (what it is all about, what it is all about)
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang down (after midnight, after midnight)
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang down
(We're gonna let it all hang down) we're gonna let it all hang down)
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang down
(We're gonna let it all hang down) (we're gonna let it all hang down)
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang down
(We're gonna let it all hang down) (we're gonna let it all hang down)
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang down
(We're gonna let it all hang down) (we're gonna let it all hang down)

Definitely one of Claptons coolest songs
Yet another great in depth lesson...thanks a million Jon.
Excellent tuition.
Jon, please do the 1988 version. The Michelob version. It's soooooo much better than the original one. Thanks, I love your lessons.
👍
I once played guitar at a party. I started to play after midnight but then I realised it wasn't midnight yet. I lost my confidence and completely mucked up the song.
Ummm. I don’t think I can play this song as I’m always in bed by 10:30pm. 😉
Great lesson but JJ CALE was the original he got Clapton to do it
Eric helped JJ out a bunch by doing his songs. He was very happy when EC started recording his stuff.
Not Eric's son. JJ
