Wow. That described me to a T! I never thought of my thinking that way. And now that I do its rather silly that I allow myself to be this way. Thanks so much for sharing this video. It really has changed my thinking.

just be truthful to yourself and to others dont hide your inner fee\lings, if you are sad, you have to be sad, why hide and pretend happy? but there is a difference in true sad and negative. dont be negative . being sad is natural.

Great vide Great message delivery style.
    And for inspiration ..
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Changing negative thoughts is easier said then done. Negative thinking is what keeps us depressed. It turns into this spiral that is unconscious, and also can run out of control. I know, because I myself was depressed for a long time, and went thru this. I got a lot of therapy, read books, and finally got out of depression. If you are interested in natural depression techniques that I used and worked for me, check out my YT videos at DepressionHero.

Ehh.. What i remember from the movie Titanic was that almost evrybody on the ship died when it shank, thanks to an iceberg who whould have done nothing if the "captain" have just run over it in the first place....
dont know if its an good idé to compare this with the movie Titanic....

teaching or telling a person whose nervous system malfunctions not to think negatively is like a sated person telling a hungry person not to feel hungry.
words may or may not help, but right deeds i think will not only help a lot but may even cure whatever it ails a given nervous system.
so, i suggest that if all these psychologists want to help or cure us, they shd condemn expenditures on arms, wars, military bases, soldiers, etc., & use that money for better medication.

Hope everyone is well. My brother had dramatic results dealing with their unbearable panic attacks after going to KickAnxietyByFriday (it was dot com, I think). Now enjoying a new outlook on a happy life. You will see for yourself.

Hello:) I just watched one of your videos. It was very short :) I am seeking advice on something. I seem to have developed a lot of fear when performing dance. Dance is what I do, and even if one person is watching I crumble :/ I perform this weekend for my first time in a while now infront of a large group hoping to get over this horrible fear. Suggestions ? Please :)

ppl whose heart malfunctions to some degree shdn't or cannot run as fast as a person w good heart.
a person whose brain malfunctions can't think like a person whose brain function well or very well.
i'v been taking 20mg paxil for 17 days. the last 7 days i have suffered 6 hrs of anxiety, but had 100-hr rest from it.
before that [& partly because i lost my wife this january] i suffered anywhere from 9 - 15 mild/moderate/heavy anxiety attacks.
i also take one 05 mg lorazepam when i need it.

there is no meter to measure how many thougts? thinking is a great process, just try to be reaistically positive. negativity is sometimes an indication to upcoming fears to prevention from happening.

How does she know how many thoughts a person can have? Just asking because it seems made up. She listens to Michael Clouse though. I have hear that story before. But I get the point.

i often wonder if psychology is a new religion. religions promise tacitly & explicitly a lot--too much, i think.
but what cld psychologists, priests, politicians do if they wld not be allowed or told by masses not to make promises?
and almost all promises i evaluate as lies.
i made only 1 promise to my wife. i said to her: If u marry me, u'l have lots of trouble. sure enough, she did!
tell the priests & politicos: pleeease no more promises. we can make our own.

it sounds easy but to do that you have to live isolated so you can be conscious of every though we all are bombarded with lots of garbage from media when we drive when we work when we eat even when you sleep you are programed to respond to the commands that society has force upon everyone verybody live instinctebly ,like robots the only good thing about this video is being aware of the number of thoughts the rest is a waste

she doesn't tell us how to change negative thoughts. I could have done that lecture. We all know how destructive our own thoughts/ideas can be. We want techniques to recognize and challenge them. I have a CBT therapist and spent over £1k so far but I wouldn't pay her a penny.

You spent 80% on what the problem is and largely neglect how to change,. Big deal about captain - CBT teaches all that. Besides, mostly it is the unconscious beliefs that drive. The captain can influence but only in short term
