Love the videos man! You do an excellent job of showing the world of bush planes. I love the people and places you show in your videos. I have my sights set on a plane now and hope to flly with you guys one of these days.
On another note I have a green mountain grill too and love it! Here are my 3 top recipes. Let me know if you try them and how you like them.
1. For ribs check out the Traeger 321 Ribs recipe.
2. For Chicken get some chicken thighs salt and pepper them then throw them on to smoke for 30-60 min. Lightly cover them in your fav bbq sauce turn it up to 325. Cook half way to 135-140 flip and re-apply bbq sauce and finish them off to 155-160.
3. Steak (I prefer a thick ribeye at least 1") coat it in truffle olive oil, salt it with smoked sea salt, lots of coarse ground pepper blend. Smoke stead for at least an hour. Take it off the grill turn the temp all the way up. When the grill is at max temp throw the steak back on and sear one side till internal temp is 115-120. Flip it and sear the other side till its 130-135. Pull it off and let it set and you should have one amazing ribeye!
Great video...love the view from your patio too! This year will be my first Oshkosh experience...I’m airplane shopping and I’m hoping to gain enough insight from all the planes I see there to help me narrow down my search. You’ve definitely made the decision more complicated by showing us all how cool the Kitfox and backcountry flying can be! Oh yeah, I just ordered a shirt from the TrentPalmer.com store!

Trent, I know what you can do with all that extra space. At Oshkosh there are all these kind of flee market style vendors selling all kinds of aviation stuff you had no idea you couldn't live without. Best you have some extra space for the ride home. Good luck, have fun.

Hey Trent, I have a Jim Bowie, try doing the ribs at 225 for 8 hrs, with a dry rub and then sauce for the last hour, put small tins of apple juice in the back corners. No foil needed and it's AMAZING

”I have to slim down.” Then you come home to a meal like this ;-) All kidding aside...I got my first pellet grill last October and have throughly enjoyed it. It has a 40 lb hopper and is great for those long low and slow cooks. Trent, have a safe flight and I’m looking forward to your low def/high quality videos during the Oshkosh trip.

A survival kit and a class all pilots should do oh get a sas book NOT A APP. If weather brings a aircraft down it can take hours for help to get to you. helicopter has shorter flight times and airplane can fly to fast to see you and need a airstrip. Get a epirb they run around $250 and up. Most small aircraft has a low max altitude. And if you are not using a flight plan tell a friend and family you route and back up just in case. I would say get a firearm but most of the time a fire will keep animals away and stay close to the aircraft it bigger than you.

Extra space! How about taking your Annville collection that shouldn’t have any impact on your max grocer CG. I always find extra room in my backpack or my plane and seem to want to fillet my backpack turns into 90 pounds in my airplane turns into Max gross! Good luck with that!
