This is amazing! There are only three things I would like to point out about the anatomy from what I could see. 1. The Leonopteryx has two pairs of eyes. 2. Its "nostrils" are placed on the chest. 3. It tail splits into two. These are just small stuff that are easy to forget if you draw without a refrence even if you see the film five hundred times.
@@krypto61 Hokiroya hides part of the model so that their computer is only processing the faces that are being worked on. This removes the excess processing from the rest of the model; keeping high fps. That plus the fact that they probably have a good graphics card.
Watching your videos helps me to relax and motivates me for more Blender Creativity. Its Amazing, how you do these though. I'm a beginner, so watching your videos fascinates me alot and thank you for your mind blowing videos. Liked & Subed.

Oh man would I love to know how to make 3D models, but I'm only 14, and I don't think my old mac computer is capable of running blender. Maybe I'll learn sometime in the future. I also have some questions; how long does it take to make a fully detailed and rigged model? What type of computer or device are you using for this? Is there any 3D modeling tool other then blender that you would suggest? How long did it take for you to learn how to use blender, and all of it's mechanics? And last question, how are you so good?! This stuff is out of this world!!!!
At what point do you bake it down? Did I miss a high to low bake in sp? Did you use your presculpt mesh for the final or did you retopologize? This was so valuable to watch. Great work and thanks for sharing.
Do more things with tons of muscles! Every sculpt needs high detailed muscles! especially stilllives... or mix Muscles with hair (preferably nonhuman lol) ... like a behemoth ! Your everything looks so perfect
Really amazing piece man. My only complaint is that I think you went just a little overboard with the black designs. I think it would have balanced out if you'd left the underbelly clean and faded the black designs out leading into the underbelly
How's the Blender 2.8 Beta treating you? My computer can't run the real time renderer, so I'm just sticking with 2.79 until they finish optimizing it...

Amazing work as always, very inspiring! I am new to 3D software and Blender, can you summarize the process you used? You start with a base mesh, then sculpt with dyntopo and after that I’m a bit lost. How do you go from there to a multires modifier? I though dyntopo sculpt always requires a retopology to have a usable mesh for bake and UV unwrap.
He opens up retopoflow at the side bar for a moment. Either he skipped the retopology part or retopoflow now has some sort of automatic retopology that I somehow missed. But he did do some kind of retopology, as far as I know you shouldn't just use multires on a partial dyntopo mesh.

Colour scheme is wrong where are the two holes on the front of the chest and the head needs tweaking along withe the crests and the tail needs lengthening
Boivin its simple you go into edge mode and then select the parts around the mouth and press H and then select the mouth and extrude it by pressing E and it will all connect
