Thank you! It can be so hard to find songs within this range!😖 Barrett Wilbert Weed is usually my savior but its great to have more ideas to pick from now. I'm impressed by the lack of repetition in this list too, I had no idea there were so many productions with roles that even provided alto songs! (Then again I've just begun dipping my toe into musical theatre, but I will be sure to check these out; thanks again!)
I'm definitely not an alto but one of my absolute favorite singers is a girl from Celtic Woman, Eabha McMahon, and she has the most incredible contralto voice.
thank you for making this video this was so convinient i do performing arts im more of a dancer but my singing teacher wants mt songs and i dont know much about it all i know is gsm whihc is advised to not sing
I typically do Drive from Percy Jackson the Musical, but I did that for the last three auditions i did, so thanks for this, I have an audition in less than 8 hours!
As an alto, I appreciate this very much. But did you just call Kindergarten Boyfriend comedic?? It’s one of the most dramatic songs in that whole show. It’s about a girl wanting to kill herself.
I didn’t plan it is so underrated I’m doing that one for my auditions this year! Did you go into your musical theatre degree with any professional dancing or singing experience? I don’t want to throw away my audition on a musical theatre course rather than the acting courses if I’m not up to a good standard but I really love the singing and dancing aspect of theatre :(
I had done dance and singing training but just at a performing arts school out of school and then I did a foundation course! If you have the passion and love for it that is the most important thing! Good luck xx
Hey, I have a question; I'm auditioning for the role of Gabriella from High School Musical and I'm preparing 3 3 - 4 songs in case others sing the same songs as I; - Colors of the Wind - Pocahontas - Waiting for a Miracle - Encanto Disney - Once Open of December - Anastasia - What I know now - Beetlejuice And I'm not sure if those songs are okay, just in case What I know now is left, can I sing that song?? I'm so confused! It's my first audition!!
Hi I am 11 years old and I need and upbeat Broadway musical song for a play what do you think would work for me? Also the play is Christmas carol just letting you know

I’ve done Theatre stuff a couple of times and I’d say that those songs seem pretty good!
requiem - dear Evan Hansen - for R?
Yep!!
Hi! I'm looking for some audition songs, is requiem appropriate to do (since it isn't a solo)
Unruly Heart from the Prom

Ahhh! Finally found this!
❤️❤️
Rose’sTurn - GYPSY
mother know best is a good one too
Reprise?
What would be a good song if I were auditioning for Violet in Charlie and The chocolate factory 😭
i don't think most of these are alto songs 😭 my voice cracked harder than my arm when i got hit by a car while singing carrie
Exactly, as a heavy alto most of these are impossible for me to sing
I have call backs in 2 days wish me luck
