I auditioned with Burn from Hamilton in February and I got a main part in a musical. It’s a beautiful song, and it shows off your vocal range (I’m a soprano 2). I’m also going to do Beauty in the Beast at my school and I’m playing Belle! I auditioned with Tale as Old as Time.
In my opinion Burn is a really good song but EXTREMELY overused so I recommend using a different less overused song with the same energy like The Music That Makes Me Dance from Funny Girl

My next one’s little mermaid as well!!! I’m crossing my fingers for Ariel, I got a Big Kid in our last one, Matilda (which was a biggER part, but not a big part, which I’m perfectly happy with! I love even just getting a part, funnest thing I was ever a part of!!), and I hope I get her, or get in at ALL at least, because it’s my last year in that school!! The auditions aren’t even close yet, the musical was announced maybe a month ago and it’s the musical for next school year, but stilllll!! 🤞🤞

keira bigtuin Soprano is a voice that’s relatively high Soprano 1 is one of the highest Besides tenor which is basically the highest, and Soprano two is a bit of a lower soprano

@Christopher Keroro For adult male voice types, the countertenor is the highest. For an example of a countertenor voice in action, listen to Epic 3 from Hadestown (sung by Reeve Carney).
If we’re talking about a child whose voice hasn’t changed yet, there are “boy sopranos.”

i just auditioned for rent (school edition) and I sang what you own and take me or leave me (they had us pick from a few songs)!! I got cast as a tons of ensemble characters, but I have a few solos (even one in seasons of love!)

"The world according to chris" is traditionally alto or mezzo but Tessa Archer KILLS it in the Seattle cast as a soprano. So much so that it's become my go to for a sexy-ish, fast pace song- really stretches my range in both directions though.
I’ve never done a musical before and i can’t sing very good but i wanna audition for my school musical in spring. Mostly because i love musicals and musical theatre and i’m nervous.
