    Hello, love your contents first thing. I have a question and hope that you will be able to answer. With this type of setting, will it work for outdoor ? In day light, without the light box/umbrella? Basically just the tripod, iPhone, Cinemax setting

    • @smartphonefilmmakingpro

      sure, just make sure you have an even lighting, or at least a reflector/diffusor

    What’s the best way to keep the iPhone charged while having the microphone plugged in? Need some kind of splitter I’d assume.

    I was trying to work out why use Cinematic mode, which essentially provides a shallower depth of field so that you can change focus between foreground and background subjects, when you are going to fix the focus on the interviewee? Is it doing anything else?

    • @smartphonefilmmakingpro
      @smartphonefilmmakingpro  ปีที่แล้ว

      you can even change the focus after the recording. YOu can also lock the focus and exposure when filming in cinematic mode

    Great post mate! Question: when shooting with. the Iphone 14 Pro ProRess, are we using HDR Dolby ? I know I have the choice to set up the camera settings, yes, but what it gets confusing is 1- When shooting ProRess RAw is the Iphone using HDR Dolby automatically? 2- In Cinematic mode: Is the Iphone shooting ProRess with HDR & Dolby? it would be great if you could perhaps make a quick video about this... :) Thanks in advance! cheers! great channel!

    It looks great but a little oversharpened. I know that its the phone that does this but i just wanted to ask if the sharpnening is less if you record in 1080p cuz i have the 13 pro which only has a 1080p option for cenematic and its obviously softer.

    • @smartphonefilmmakingpro
      @smartphonefilmmakingpro  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No that doesn‘t really change.. that‘s just what phones do.. you can work around it by using a mist filter

    Thank you so much for your tutorial--it's hugely helpful.
    I'm a freelance journalist and news/documentary producer. My client has hired me to pre-interview a potential subject for a doc and I thought instead of jotting down notes / recording audio only, that I would record audio using my new DJI 2 mic + filming using my iPhone 14-pro (mounted on tripod).
    -- I"m using a Anker mag battery pack (x2) during the interview (which I expect to last 1-1.5 hours). It will allow me to do a longer interview and keep the iPhone powered while using the charger port for the DJI mic receiver. Do you recommend stopping + starting to create several 5-10 minute videos or powering through with one long video?
    Do you recommend using 4K vs HD for sit down interview
    And what light attachment do you recommend for the ULANZI ST-27 iphone/tripod mount?
    Thank you so much!!

    • @smartphonefilmmakingpro
      @smartphonefilmmakingpro  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the kind words! :) It depends, I mostly do each question with an individual take. 9 out of 10 times I will make individual takes and not just one long. I always recommend 4k :) Sorry I don't know the Ulanzi

    If you can buy all these lights and tripods, have a studio as well and all other stuff, you can also afford a decent f*cking camera. 📷. It would have been helpful, if the only equipment you would use is a cellphone with natural light

      I mean, you could still come out way cheaper by just using your phone. You would still need all the same stuff even when using a camera. I havent watched the video yet but this would be my assumption
