Founded in 2010, New York Classical Players (NYCP) is an ensemble dedicated to the highest standards of artistry, collaboration, and virtuosity. Fueled by the belief that access to musical excellence is an essential human right, NYCP presents all of its concerts free of charge. NYCP is comprised of dynamic young musicians who are launching their professional careers. They sound great. I am going to make a constructive critic, I’m not hating anyone. As a Spanish musician y think they really have a problem with dynamics. That wouldn’t happen to a Spanish musician because it just sound weird to us. Except the dynamics everything is surprisingly right , congrats!
@Arturo Curious about your reply. Do you have an example you’d recommend that has more Spanish music dynamics? Dynamics are which parts are loud & soft (broadly speaking), right? I’m curious I& I could hear the difference as someone who doesn’t have a lot of Spanish music exposure
@@KnickKnackPatty It’s a bit hard to explain . In Spain music is mostly made for dancing or for rituals like Manuel de falla . Navarra , the name of the city , is a part of Spain, in which is typical to dance this sort of music, Sarasate was born there. When you dance this music, it’s about playing with dynamics ( forte, piano ) to represent each of both dancers. For example , in minute 1:26 the woman’s part ( the main part with de trills ) is meant to be played more loudly ( forte ) than the man’s part , because in that moment , the woman is the main person dancing . I really hope you come to Spain and enjoy one of these dancings in live ! Sorry ...my English is very bad. I wrote this happy to explain this to you, this is no hate ! :)

Just amazing. This is my favorite violin duet and they played it masterfully.
Forget who brought us here...this is the most beautiful version I have heard. This by far, suprerior to the piano and violin trio.

The female violinist is playing a little heavy for my tastes. Just my opinion
