- Authorities say a carjacking suspect who allegedly stole a woman's car with her 3-year-old child in the backseat can be seen in this dashcam video leaving the toddler on the side of a South Florida road. Thankfully, the child was not hurt.

It wouldn't be both child abduction and child abandonment. It would be one or the other. The fact that he left the child at the side of the road is evidence that he did not have intent to abduct the child.

I haven't read all the comments but have scrolled through many. Haven't seen any questioning who left the child alone in the first place, or was the driver thrown out of the car by the thief. This isn't addressed in the video. If the child was left alone in the car, then the start of this whole issue falls to that person. Child endangerment? Bc the thief unknowingly took a child. Odds are the person that left him in the car did that knowingly. But even if it was a mistake, it's still child endangerment. We see this on the news on a regular basis. I do see quite a few ppl in the comments though feeling bad for the parent, the parent that potentially left the child in the car.
If that’s south Florida I’m willing to bet that baby sat there for some time . Cops are probably the only ones that stop . Nothing but a bunch of self righteous old retired rich folks
