just watched one of the first videos of Alex and now this video. The difference is unreal in the enthusiasm and humor now. plus the hairline he talks about 😂
Biggest tip I can think of is make a parts list and write down the prices and put them in order from the thing you want the most to the the thing you want the least. It helped me out when I was doing it correctly and still had money for them. everything.
I'd say have patience. Even if the build takes you 5 years for only a few parts it's all about the fun you will have in experimenting on the car and finding out what is really going to make it YOUR car

i start from the inside out, that is if you don't do anything to what's under the hood, then it isn't a show car. i add horsepower, that alone adds to the look, keep it all clean and fresh, and that includes exhaust btw. then i move to suspension and breaks, tires and rims, during all this i am thinking and doing things to the interior, lastly at least for me is the exterior. and after all that you still probably will not be done, lol.

After ignoring it for a month I finally shine a flashlight under there and find I have ground my hood latch cable to bare wire and hanging on by 3 wires. My first thought: "wow I need to zip tie that out of the way. Shibi ight"
I'd like to just add a phrase when building anything. "Plan your work, then work your plan" above anything else you do. And take your time as opposed to just rushing it out to get it to the show.

Ok so recently my front bumper / headlights brackets snapped off. What could I do to get rid of that headlight gap I have? Weld new brackets on or drill a hole to where I can zip tie it to get rid of the gap?
I know this is 2 years ago, but there is this amazing thing called plastic welding. You can use a solder iron to heat a piece of abs plastic, push a segment of metal mesh into the softened plastic to bridge the gap, and then fill any imperfections by using zip ties as filler rods. There are tutorials on TH-cam that explain the process better.
