Regine live is incredibly impressive! She could basically be heard in an entire auditorium even with no mic! Her artistry is the best at narrating songs' lyrics for me.
He is Martin Nievera. He is the Philippines Concert King. I don't know if my fellow Filipino's would agree... but I think that time was the time that he's the only Male singer here in the Philippines who can sing with her with those high notes and who can rival with her.

I've watched a concert of Martin Nievera with Regine Velasquez as his guest. I cried the whole time they sang "Forever". Their voices are a match made in heaven. and man the stadium that we are in are shaking because of the power of their voices. It was unforgettable. btw, im more of a fan of Martin Nievera than Regine. He's one of the best male singers that we have in the Phils. Everytime he has a concert here in our province, i wouldn't miss it for the world.
Regine Velasquez is 46 years old, she recently performed Hello by Adele. She had serious issues with her voice back in 2011-2012 and even had to cut her silver anniversary concert short due to it, she has regained her voice and is back on top of the game! and is still as popular as ever
Ohh and she is also an award winning actress in the Philippines, critics says her best performance was playing a mentally challenged woman and even won a best actress award for it, she is also considered a box office queen.

I've seen her in a concert and up close. She's nice to her fans.. She and her family even organized a party and set a venue with caterers just to reach out to people who keeps on supporting her. She's genuine and down to earth person and very beautiful.

I've seen seen her live maybe 10 times and she was incredible. And this broadway medley is one of my favorites. And by the way, when she did this concert, she had one of the biggest migraine a person can have. As a matter of fact, there was news that she passed out after and good thing there was an ambulance on stand-by on this venue because they thought it might happen because of that terrible migraine.

He is a well known singer in the Phils. I've already seen them together in a live concert here in San Francisco Ca, and I'm telling you it's all worth it to see them. Aside from that Regine is also very nice in person, I met her personally coz we did a show for them and sang all both their songs. Anyways, there this Green Yu who did a compilations of Regine's 30 great performances in her tv show SOP in the Phils. You might want to check it out. If I'm not mistaken Regine and Martin had a concert Foursome 3 yrs ago and Voices of Love 2 yrs ago, both valentines concert with two other artists. Martin Nievera actually gave the name "Regine" to Regine Velasquez in 1986 (to make the name more appealing) when she appeared on Martin's TV series that time. Martin started singing in '82. That concert was in 2003.

On the sides... he was a former classmate in our Spanish Class in the University of the Philippines way back in 1982 he he he he. I was told (unverified) he did not finish his college degree from said university.

Regine won a popular national singing contest in the mid 80's. I think that was 1985. This year marks her 30th year in the industry. I think she is 46yrs old now. Coming from a province of a poor family, her motivation was to provide for her family esp to send her siblings to school. With a rare gift of talent in singing she worked hard and stayed focused on her career. We have a lot of amazing singers in Philippines but during the time she was starting, her sound was unique. Strong angelic voice as we may call it. She made belting a popular style of singing here. Up until today, she is considered a benchmark for female singers. She IS the standard of singing.
I think that was in 2011 or 2012 when she started to have acid reflux, and of course just like any other singer, she has aged. But she continues to sing no matter what. And she does not care. She embraces the kind of artist she has become with or without acid reflux. Her voice may crack, her range might have dropped down but she continues to sing. And unapologetic about it. In many interviews she would say that she will never sound the way she did but will continue to sing because it's her life, her soul.
She's one of the very few, if not the only female singer to have sold out concerts for 2 consecutive days in the biggest performing arena in the Philippines. Her records are always best-selling. Her shows up until today are always jam-packed.
In many of her recorded albums if not all, she arranged her songs, produced them and arranged her vocal back-ups. Not only for herself but for other artists as well.
