I remember She is the only Filipino Musician Solo who does a continuous concert every weekend with same concept, quite same songs and yet gets the same concert venue jam-packed! Also she is the only SOLO Celebrity who did a two consecutive nights, the Phenomenal R2K Concert, same shows at two different nights at biggest concert Venue in the Philippines at that time and that two nights, even the aisles of the concert venues has people standing with pay. I never heard any solo artist in PH who had a chance to experience the same thing after Regine. If there was, maybe it was a free show. Hehe jk! ✌️️😜
yes, she is the only singer who can hold a 2-night concert in araneta coliseum particularly before she became a mom or more than a month-long series of shows. most of her concerts are sold-out performances.

This is definitely one of the best live medley performances by the Asia's Songbird. She performed this in her critically acclaimed concert, Regine Live: Songbird Sings The Classics, in 2000. The entire concert was recorded live and made into album of the same title that turned 6 X Platinum. I’m glad you enjoyed this, Dan. Great review!

You got it exactly right when you said that she deserves the "RESPECT". As I have commented in another reaction channel who mentioned that Regine is pitchy and is trying too hard -- "Regine, during her prime has been performing nonstop doing multiple shows in a day, singing difficult songs as what her audience would want to hear from her. Not to mention the TV series and movies she's been doing on the side at that same time. She's definitely sang a lot of songs that no one in this world can possibly sing as powerful and as magical as she's ever done. She deserves due respect for all that she has contributed in entertaining a lot of people." For me, no matter how bad her performances can get at times(due to her AR condition these days), she would always have my respect considering the music she has contributed all these years especially for the Filipino people. She doesn't deserve to be judged or criticized anymore as far as her singing is concerned, she has proven enough. cheers! ;)

They recorded the entire concert and made it an album entitled Songbird Sings The Classics. So you can hear the applause in the background. It just means that she doesn't need any studio voice editing. You can check the album on itunes or even here on youtube.
Did you know that it took some time for them to start due to some audio technical issues? but that issue turned out to be good! the recording was beautiful and none of the producers thought it would result to that. Regine LIVE is definitely one of my most favorite albums of her.

Hey Dan, I couldn't be any happier. This was Regine in her PRIME. This is my most favorite vocal state of her, lyrical, colorful and sweet tone with vocal freedom. Her version of Barry Manilow is the very best. Nobody ever sang it by a woman since her. And her vocal vibratos here, omg its superhuman.
Thank you for this reaction Dan as always! This is one of her many iconic performances in her 30 year career and when I first watched her rendition of this manilow medley I became an instant fan and I just cant get enough of her until now. She never fail to capture the hearts and amaze her audience Regine is so damn talented thats why the Philippines considered her as a living legend and pride.. she's able to maintain her iconic status for over 3 decades! #QueenRegine

I been watching your reaction videos for years now and this is the first time I'm gonna comment. I must say it was fun watching you admire our top singer. You may not understand the tagalog songs but it's remarkable how you appreciate it. I suggest if you like this manilow medley, go take a look at her other manilow medley on boy and kris and on her drawn concert just look it up here on youtube. You'll see the human side of her as she slips on the lyrics of "even now" but still just as every song she makes it brilliant. I sing it with the mistakes.
Your grin/smile at rhe end of her song is enough to tell how you enjoyed her performance. Ahahaha

This went to my feed today and was wondering how on earth I did not see you reacting on this. Its one of the best concert I've watched of Regine. I will never forget this because this was held at a grand ballroom of the former The Westin Phil Plaza (now Sofitel Phil Plaza). My Dad's best mate in uni was the Banquet Director then and we always have a free stay there every year. 7 of us in one double bed room. Regine was brilliant and twas such a great night. Thanks for this Dan.

I am glad you appreciate Regine V. in her best voice condition. She's one of the best. I've seen her sing live for more than enough times and I can tell you she has the power to change your feelings as if she's taking you some place else. You should see her in her worst - I think she's having throat issues in this video, but the professional that she is refuses to let that hinder her from performing. We have the same thought Dan when you said that you love the way she sang the song. That is her magic, giving a new meaning to a song. There are songs that I don't like but when she sang that song, it instantly became my favorite.

A well preserved vintage video of Regine shown in RPN Ch. 9.back in the late 90's. Ch.9 was the leading tv station in the 80's &90's here in the Phil. the Musical Director/Pianist was the younger brother of Lea Salonga, Gerald.He arranged this medley for this concert.

To my knowledge no one in my family is musically inclined. Though I did used to play the keyboard way back when. I was never really able to read music but I'd play songs that I knew so it was easier to pick it up. I'd work out the notes based on the sheet music and play away. One of my signature pieces was Across the Stars by John Williams :) it's been a good 6 or 7 years since I last played so I'm going to be very rusty no doubt!
