Simba & Bella - getting to know each other

- The arrival of Simba into the Lilongwe Wildlife Centre in Malawi caused a great deal of excitement, not least for Bella the resident lioness.
At this time the cats have been allowed access to each other, albeit with a dividing fence, every day, and the signs are good that a full integration will be possible in the near future. We just have a few more things to do to try and test their compatibility and then if all goes to plan we will attempt the introduction.
The one thing that has already come from this situation is that both Bella and Simba have now started to show normal lion behaviour - which particularly in Simba's case is probably the first time in his life.

For anyone wondering, they sadly had to put both of the lions down last year. Bella’s conditions were worsening, and Simba was developing a hip problem I think, so they decided to put them down together. Rip Simba and Bella

After watching these lions in their re-entry into their native wild behavior, how in the hell can these damn trophy hunters go to sleep at night? There is a personality in these animals, they have a soul with its own journey, hopefully not as a headpiece on a hunter's wall. I cannot be in rooms with stuffed wild animals, not mounted on a wall while I go about my business. I cannot do it.
Whether introducing two lions to one another, or two humans, one has to be cautious and adopt a step-by-step approach. In this way, trust can be gradually built up, thus increasing the likelihood of successful integration.

Are Simba and Bella together now? Doing follow-up videos on the pair would be thoughtful. The other video i saw of the pair were of them fighting.
They were killed by the other lion pride. Nature took its course...anyway they are dead in the wild

Born Free Foundation Just to let you know, nowhere on your website does it explain her back legs. I figured it out, finally, by seeing it in the description for another video you posted of her. It would be nice to explain it in her backstory though, for other curious people. Thanks for the reply! ^_^
