When this movie came out, I was just a 13 year boy and remembered going to see this movie at the cinema with my younger brother & sister. Is was one of my best memories & we love the movie and the title theme. Thanks for bringing back such a wonderful memory.
I was 7.
I have never forgottenvthis movie. Its inspired me for thr rest of my life to advocate for all animals. Thank you!❤
A wonderful film about wild life in Kenia: the heart of wild Africa. The british way of respecting fils life❤
I still cry hearing the first few chords of this music. What a heartwarming, true, impactful story. Bless the Adamsons.
Same! I stumbled upon this and instant tears. 😢😊
@@daynab33 Tears galore!

Tuesday 15th March 2022. Born Free is so beautiful it brings tears to my eyes. 💜 Virginia.?! :) :( ;) 😃🦁🦓🐒🐘🎶🌟
I love it still , these films are a lot more educational and make people happy!!
This film is not only good but has the most beautiful lead song of all and my eyes fill up with tears when I also hear this song. It was with horror that the real George and Joy Adamson were both murdered. Per Wikipedia Joy's ashes were buried with Elsa. They both did so much for animal conservation.
Murdered? I never knew that
So just like the woman from Gorilla's in the mist.
Such a shame that good people get murdered
I didn't know that, but read she died a couple years after she was returned to the wild, from a tick bourne illness. And I read that George was laid to rest next to Boy, one of the lions who played one of Elsa's sister's in the movie. And Boy had been put down for killing someone, in real life 😔 You just never know, sadly
I saw this film with my family after Church growing up. My Dad would pick the film, so many classic films I was exposed to. I am grateful to my Dad
I read the book and I loved this so much
Wow and wow just beautiful it still brings a tear to my eyes
Takes me back to the 70s in uk.. Gr8 times
Wow I haven’t seen this movie in years and now after suddenly remembering this . I’m starting to get all the same feelings I had when I watched this film

Epic !!
Andy Williams RIP…..one of the most beautiful song of the time….and the movie still gives you chills….the follow up when he returned and Elsa recognized him…..the reunion and greetings was awesome…..❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸

If not yet please visit the Elsa’s Kopje camp. Breathtaking ❤
That's when there were still lots of lions in Africa....now there are only about 20,000 left....and not mentioning elephants they are also in danger of extinction.
The world changed so much and not for the better😮
Much of the existing wildlife is at risk of extinction in the next 2 decades
In those days wild predators were still considered as vermin to be shot on sight.
@Reynaldo Flores Now, the vermins are the humans because they aren't in danger of extinction as the lions or elephants are. Africa without lions or elephants will no longer be Africa.
I so want to go to Africa ...
Your welcome. Meru county in Kenya🇰🇪🇰🇪 safari njema( safe travel)
This was so moving I wanted to be a game warden😊
My mom took me what I was young 1966 I was 4 yes. Old. It was in tor. Ont. Canada
Africa today has lost over 90% of its wildlife since this !
I watched born free as a child I’m 60 now
Local extinctions of desert adapted lions elephants now gone
Lions were in the 200 thousand number today we have canned farms and wild lions around 23 thousand
Plastic pollution everywhere Africas populations increasing to 2.4 billion over the coming decades
What a tragedy unfolding today
Extinctions a reality as humanity expands until one day 💥
Quite Simply A Wonderful Film In Every Sense! Photography Music Acting All World Class! Unforgettable Theme Song!🧔👱♀️🦁🏞🇰🇪
ditto❤❤❤❤❤

The real Joy Adamson was a fortyish, dowdy, and unattractive woman when the events narrated in the movie happened.
Such a contrast to the young, pretty actress who portrayed her .
Well, you just ruined that.
야성의 엘자
Disgraceful to kill their mothers.
Imagine if this was staged.
Like in the following hypothesis:
George and Joy go to Africa. They come up with the idea to get a best selling movie. Raising a few cubs from lions.
But how to get em..... o wait, lets just shoot their parents.
Et voila..... experiment has begun.
Pls do not dare say that people from Hollywood would not do such a thing.
I am not saying George and Joy were from Hollywood.
BUT maybe somebody came up with this idea in Hollywood.
Like they came up with ideas like Cannibal Holocaust...not the best movie but they did make it. For some reason or another.
ps: im not saying they didnt raise cubs and all the rest.
I am not saying these were circus animals.
Im just saying that sometimes a "documentary' can also function as a movie.
Double the money etc.
And if it does not happen on its own, then you can make it happen.
Like so many other things they made happen and then reported on it as if it was "News"
3:39 Bullshit! That'd never happen! There would be very little (if *ANY*) blood (never mind body parts and clothing)! So much drama, I couldn't tell if I was watching a lion movie, or an episode of _The Bachelor!_
In real life, the lion would have pounced, delivered a quick bite to the neck, and carried the victim off. Period.
