    I'm leasing a 2020 Cherokee Trailhawk and Love it! The ride is smooth and quiet and the suspension feels just right. I'm blown away with how great the quality and overall feel of this SUV is. There is also lots of storage throughout the interior. I wasn't a huge fan of the exterior look of the Cherokee till they came out with the black out trim like on the Trailhawk.
    Jeep nailed it with the Cherokee, I'm loving it. I can see why it was given 5 Stars!

    I just acquired a 2021 Cherokee Latitude Lux 4x4 after having to give up my 2009 Dodge Journey SXT due to an accident. I truly LOVE this car! It reminds me of the Journey, a little smaller, and tighter drive feel, but it can GO! I love all the bells & whistles, but overall, I'm glad I made the choice.

    Great review as always Jerry, though this is a compact SUV, not a full size one! I can’t believe we are already and 150 rentals now! I remember the 2016 Mustang EcoBoost Premium Convertable and you’ve just kept posting since!😸😸

    Lol I rented one of these at an airport in Texas and I guess the jeep wasn't clean before I got it but while I was putting my bags in the rear seats someone forgot a Switch in the pouch that is behind the drivers seat. After that I started to love this SUV.

    I like this model Jeep my only gripe is the transmission, the 9 speed ZF transmission is not a good pair with any of their 4 cylinders but is best fitted with the Pentastar V6. This is the only FCA model with the 3.2 Pentastar V6 and it sounds great.

    • @jeepguy95
      @jeepguy95 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup the 948TE STILL isn't perfect, with many other vehicles that used to also use it switching to other transmissions. It's what delayed the Cherokee's initial launch, and they still haven't perfected it.

    • @derekchisholm972
      @derekchisholm972 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’ve found it interesting that they only use that 3.2L engine in this. Why not other models.

    • @jeepguy95
      @jeepguy95 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@derekchisholm972 They should've just used the 3.6L V6. But then again, the other vehicle that shares a platform with the Cherokee was the Dodge Dart, which probably couldn't fit the 3.6L V6. But then again, the Chrysler 200, which ALSO shared a platform with the Cherokee, used the 3.6L V6, so in theory, it could've fit into the Cherokee. Confusing!

    • @La-yt1wr
      @La-yt1wr 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@derekchisholm972 I know right. I don't even understand why they would put the money into this engine since they already have the 3.6 even the Chrysler 200 used the 3.6 and they both are closely related as far as platforms.

      I agree I have the 2016 model 2.4 transmission is sluggish it does a better job when you manually select gears instead of drive mode

  • @derekchisholm972
    @derekchisholm972 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I think this facelifted model looks better than the previous one, but it is very underpowered with the 4 cylinder, and very coarse sounding. Jeep transmissions tend to shift very slowly.

  • @jeepguy95
    @jeepguy95 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    While I wish it was 4X4, these are nice little SUV's. Sure people will criticize the styling, but they're fuel-efficient, comfortable, and if you go for the Trailhawk model (maybe you'll eventually get one of those?), it's highly off-road capable, unlike other SUV's in its class. BTW, the $29k price is the sale price, the MSRP on one of these is actually $33,060. :)

    I was in the market for a late model used SUV/crossover, but my nearby Jeep dealer has a new fully-loaded Cherokee Limited V-6 AWD with the Tow Package for a shade under $32K. Tack on the military discount, and... well, now I'm thinking of a new car rather than a used car. (BTW, for 2021, Jeep dropped the Overland trim... Limited is now the top-level trim, but you need to get it with the Elite Package to get it almost comparable to the Overland.)

    Hello, l have always liked the look of the Cherokee, however Jeep pulled it from the U.K market a few years ago. The main problem it had was that it was priced at level with Land rover Discovery Sport or an Audi Q5 , despite Jeeps heritage people were not prepared to pay.

    Me and my roommate put about 4700 miles on one of these a few months ago. Definitely not the most amazing small SUV in the world, but I completely understand why they’re so popular. Good gas mileage, good passenger comfort, good driving dynamics and enough room for 2 people, their luggage and a medium size dog. Plus I’ve been told the later models are pretty reliable, considering the underpinnings are shared with the Fiat 500X line.

    • @jeepguy95
      @jeepguy95 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually that would be the Renegade that shares parts with the 500X. The Cherokee is based on the Chrysler 200/Dodge Dart platform.

    • @ryderwilson139
      @ryderwilson139 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Vincent D oh yea that’s right I got them confused. Even still the Dart and 200 were probably some of the worst cars FCA ever made. So it’s good to see that Jeep is making something good out of that platform.

    • @Sodapopper100
      @Sodapopper100 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As someone who works at an enterprise I can easily say that I've seen so many transmission slips from these things it's not even funny. Jeeps and other FCA products that we have are consistent.
      Consistently poor.

    • @ryderwilson139
      @ryderwilson139 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sodapopper100 I always hear mostly good things about these. My experiences have been fine, but that doesn’t speak for others obviously. Of course someone in your position can give a realistic view. But at the same time I think it goes without saying that rental vehicles are put through quite a bit of abuse and wear in a very short amount of time. Not saying you’re wrong at all. I might be a little bit biased towards FCA just because I drive a 2019 Ram. And I don’t know how accurate I am on this but I’ve also read about how vehicles built for fleets aren’t always the best when it comes to fit and finish. On another note, I’ve heard Nissan transmissions are pretty bad too. I’ve driven the Sentra, Altima, Maxima and Rogue and they’ve all been abysmal. Never been a fan of the CVTs.

    • @Sodapopper100
      @Sodapopper100 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ryderwilson139 you're absolutely right that most of the cars are not meant for the conditions their put under. I've seen coworkers throw the cars into park while going 50 miles an hour on empty roads, drift sentras on empty parking lots and the list goes on and on. Perhaps if you lease the car new from the dealership you won't have issues. That's the way I'll lever personally have an FCA or a Nissan product into my driveway. Nissan CVT's are just as you said. Very very sluggish, especially in Versas and rogues... My lord it's miserable. The Rams we got haven't had anything major go on when them, but I can easily say that the plastic trim on most of them do not hold up very well... I suppose the point is this. Fleet cars despite all we say about taking care of them, are always roughed up by the time we flip them to sell. Even our best examples. If you bought your vehicle from else where, just take care of it. People who have to rent out a car, and most of us that are in charge of them really don't care about them.

Interiors decent, Not crazy, Can fit 5 average, maybe 8 idk if it has a 3rd row option. And my main thing, Is the i’m looking at has this Nice ass panoramic Sun roof, that i love, and A upgraded audio system. I believe it’s either 23k, Or 27k, and it’s? 2018-2021 i can’t remember which one, and it’s used.

My 1st 2020 Cherokee was a lemon and my 2nd 2020 Cherokee was not built right and neither Jeep or the selling dealer Bob Poynter Columbus will make it right . @@stopgeo-engineering2276 The 1st one had a water leak they claim. The Jeep stunk so bad I could not drive it without rolling a window down sadly this did not show up until 2 weeks after buying it. I now wonder if it was not a flood vehicle even thought we bought it with 7 miles on it. Then just as they were buying it back under the lemon law the PTU started failing in it as well. This was at 4400 miles. The second is a North Edition Jeep put the wrong wheels and tires on it and the dealer bobpoynterjeep.com promised they would do everything to get it straightened out but that was April 2020 to date nothing has been done and come to find out Jeep did thousands of Cherokees this way good ole bait and switch. Plus it had some starches on the dash one part they replaced the other they buffed it out but you can still see it and it took the natural sheen off the dash now, It has had a clunk in it as well since new it had 12 miles on it when we bought it. They can't find it so I am gonna drive it and see how it does and it should get worse as I get closer to the 36k or 3 year mark,
