I've always loved the Mother franchise, so when I heard that Undertale was created by someone heavily inspired by the classic JRPG franchise - I was immediately interested.
Then, when members of the community here told me they loved the game, there was no question - I had to do a blind first time Undertale Let's Play, so from here on out that's what is going down. Well, until it's over. But yeah! Let's Play Undertale for the first time on Nintendo Switch :D
P.S. how fitting is it that the series starts on the week of Undertale’s 9th birthday?

Undertale is a 2015 2D role-playing video game created by American indie developer Toby Fox. The player controls a child who has fallen into the Underground: a large, secluded region under the surface of the Earth, separated by a magical barrier. The player meets various monsters during the journey back to the surface, although some monsters might engage the player in a fight. The combat system involves the player navigating through mini-bullet hell attacks by the opponent. They can opt to pacify or subdue monsters in order to spare them instead of killing them. These choices affect the game, with the dialogue, characters, and story changing based on outcomes.
Outside of artwork and character designs by Temmie Chang and other guest designers, Fox developed the entirety of the game by himself, including the script and music. The game took inspiration from several sources, including the Brandish, Mario & Luigi, and Mother role-playing game series, bullet hell shooter series Touhou Project, role-playing game Moon: Remix RPG Adventure, and British comedy show Mr. Bean. Undertale was originally meant to be two hours in length and was set to be released in mid-2014, but received delays.
The game was released for Windows and OS X in September 2015. It was also ported to Linux in July 2016, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in August 2017, the Nintendo Switch in September 2018, and Xbox One in March 2021. The game was acclaimed for its thematic material, intuitive combat system, musical score, originality, story, dialogue, and characters. The game has sold at least five million copies and was nominated for multiple accolades and awards. Several gaming publications and conventions listed Undertale as game of the year, and others have since listed it as one of the greatest video games ever made. Two chapters of a related game, Deltarune, were released in 2018 and 2021.

22:49 and 23:21 You thought that just staying still was the reason you weren't getting hit XD Toriel knows that you are at low HP and so she is making sure that she does not kill you. The whole reason she is telling you to turn back is because she wants to protect you from people who would try to kill you. She never has any intention of killing you herself! Even if you try to run into the bullets, she moves them away from you so that you can't even kill yourself on purpose!

Agreeing with the other comments saying to be careful reading the comment section. People are still spoiling things and not letting you go through the full effect, because they want it a specific way. Just keep doing what you feel in the game, there’s always another playthrough for a different route. This first playthrough doesn’t mean it’s the final end-all run, you can still go through again and get different stories.

Don't lol, don't read the comments whatsoever, I do not for a second trust a youtube comments section not to spoil things about Undertale, intentionally or not. There's also those people who are like "Heehee! I will hint to something and nobody will even know!" but they're super obvious about it and you can guess lots of things from them just having 2 braincells. Me looks at the title of the video. AH Yes the joys of a blind playthrough, I know exactly where this is going.
On a more serious note I am a big fan of this game and I just wanted to warn you that their will be comments telling you how to play the game, as well as some minor spoilers. feel free to ignore them. Watching somone play this game blind is far more entertaining then someone trying to play a specific way .

ahh you're keying in on the auto-duck feature. It lowers the game audio whenever I speak and allows it to creek back up in moments of silence. It's one of my favorite things :0
