    Great tutorial !! What kind of stitch did you do for the turtle neck ? I'm new to sewing but I'm assuming it would have to stretch and I don't know which one would stretch with the fabric, thanks !!

    It was so funny hearing you explain the sleeve. It was like u were talking to yourself (nothing bad about that) just pictured u thinking outloud. As always...love seeing your videos. 😊

    • @Soshesaysjessica
      @Soshesaysjessica 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Question...I always notice u do sort of like a curve with ya sleeve? Do u find that better vs doing it straight?

    • @DoctorFashion
      @DoctorFashion  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      LoL I meant to raise the volume when I was talkin during that part .. But for the most part I wanted to slow it down on the sleeve part so people can see how I attach my sleeves .. And u say a curve? what ya mean? .. Send a pic to me lol

    i noticed that you used a serger (or over-lock machine?)
    any tips on how to set the correct tension? (I use a brother 1043D, if brand matters, and jersey knit)
    because every time i use the serger to sew knit or stretchy fabric, the seam would end up all curvy? (Idk if you know what I'm talking about)
    any tips on making the perfect seam would help

    • @trubritukbusybrithomes
      @trubritukbusybrithomes 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +sparkL3gal If you place tracing paper under your fabric it will stop the fabric from moving around and creating a wonky seam-line - very easy to remove when finished

    question:
    when i sewed my turtle neck on stretch fabric, it barely went over my head. was i to sew the zig zag stitch around the neck line?

    • @DoctorFashion
      @DoctorFashion  9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes .. Zig zag stitch is best .. It gives your knit fabric more room to stretch without the thread breaking

    • @DoctorFashion
      @DoctorFashion  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey .. I usually go with a slight zig zag stitch or stretch stitch on my machine & I also use a stretch needle .. that really helps when working with stretchy fabric
