    Glad you enjoyed working with Scallywag (the sea turtle). Seeing it being used in ways that enhance the work is inspiring to continue digitising more animals. In the description I'm sure you notice that this was a real sea turtle. And on that note, you might be happy to know that Scallywag was released back into the ocean months later. See here for video: cbs12.com/news/local/sea-turtle-injured-by-shark-returns-to-the-ocean
    Thank you for the shout out and (again) for assisting in bringing the turtle to life, digitally.

    The service of VideoCopilot is really that awesome! I bought their lens flare plugin for Nuke. And it just wouldn’t import it. I had, the license file copied in the right place.
    Another Kramer, gave support he asked where I’d put it. He was like, that’s your user profile right?!
    -Yeah!
    Hmmm than it should be loaded. Weird...
    Ah you know what, search for this dll and put a copy of the license file where that dll is. It will search in the base directory first before going to the user profiles.
    And wham, it worked! I love having support from the devs instead of people who are as dumb as I am :) so I’m genuinely impressed with them. I don’t own element, but darn this here looks good and it renders so well! And fast! I can’t mimick that with Modo or blender (not even with eevee) or even Fusion or Nuke 3D.
    I just don’t really like layer based compositors but I may need to buy element just to do this, rapid 3D compositing.

    Awesome tutorials! I have a question, in submarine section (22.30s) why did't you use light to guide particles? what result if i use light or motion path ? Can you tell me when we should use light, motion path or null with particles? or are there any video tutorials you guys talk about the difference between using light, motion path and null please share, I will watch it. Thanks you!

    • @MaxonRedgiant
      @MaxonRedgiant  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good idea for a specific tutorial. Thanks for the suggestion!
      Short version is that motion paths are when you want to deform the actual motion of the particles themselves. Driving the position of the emitter with a null is for when you want easier control of the emitter's position.
      Using Lights as emitters is for when you want multiple emitters for the same particle system (with options driven by the light parameters).

    Hi Red Giant, I was looking for one specific solution for a video and ended up spending most of the day watching your video's! So awesome what is available to us nowadays! Also really happy to see you working on Windows (sorry Apple people!) and looking into making some investments to upgrade my PC hardware. Do you have any recommendations for CPU, GPU and memory that works best with the software you're using? Thank you so much for your video's!
