I just only find the layer map option under the Trapcode Form. I was trying the whole day out how to do these patterns. Do you really need a Trapcode Form for using these patterns? Jeffrey Kee oh really? What version are you at?

    • @americanlad434
      @americanlad434 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most recent CC (always). I've fought with them for years with their updates. For example, I used to work at a TV station, and I almost lost my job 2 years ago when Adobe updated their software and it broke footage imports and exports with the infamous "red frame". I had to scramble to solve the find the problem and develop a workable alternative, at least until Adobe fixed the bug... which was 3 months... (and today, I'm fighting with the new problem of the "green frame"). I vowed to find alternatives, and ever since, I've found dozens and dozens of issues that come out every time Adobe has a major update. The college I currently work at refuses to teach or buy any Adobe products anymore. They now work with the Blackmagic Products and other "free" alternatives like Blender. The world of subscription programs is crashing in the professional world, and someone like me (who has worked with After Effects since 2007) has given Adobe enough chances to fix things. I assume you might not encounter these issues (and maybe you have). I encounter them the most when I'm working on large complex projects, with several blurs, or with simple-to-complex expressions. The thing that hurt the most is how Adobe has refused to even answer my questions, requests, or bug reports... NOT ONCE in the 5 years I've been using it professionally. I know many people will still like it (and I still like After Effects), but I'm no longer a supporter. I now support whoever develops a free-ware compositing/animation program (like After Effects), or a high-quality, reasonable-pay-once program like After Effects used to be.

    Hello Daniel Hashimoto. I have a question about this video, at minute 28:14 you start working again on the composition of Form. I ask: what does the "Light Wrap" plugin do there, in Effects Controls? Previous minutes, when you worked on that composition, the plugin was not there. Suddenly, in the 28th minute appears ... why?

    I have a question about performance. My system struggles at times with form and Particular, making it borderline unusable. Should I focus on upgrading my CPU or my GPU?
    I have an Intel 6-core i7-6800K (3.5Ghz)
    And my GPU is a GTX 1060 (6GB).
    My video card is obviously the lesser of the two, but I'm also aware that After Effects is mostly CPU-driven. Would it be worth it to upgrade to something like a 1080ti (or two)?
