I tell people this all the time. Literally Itachi used genjutsu off the bat. He never physically fought orochimaru. Even when orochimaru got stabbed by the Totsuka blade he shrugged it off until he realized what it was lmao

Orochimaru really needs some representation on youtube, not only he is the best prodigy Konoha ever had, but his character development is solid, he was too many steps beyond his peers, his decent into madness was a telegraphed airplane crash. Way too much talent being the trully first generation since Konoha was built, surrounded by wartorn veterans and clans that were so dirty that even after everything Orochimaru did, he seems well adjusted near those whom raised him. The tale of the unpaired genius that gone wrong because no one was able to qualify as a mentor for him is pretty old, but you put that with a Society built on murdering each other, having Tobirama as his mirror, the man that created the filthiest jutsus to win at any cost. Ok, that was a recipe for disaster, but no, he managed to be ok, just a prodigy out of the curve, but nothing more than odd with way too much talent and no one to make the most of it, everyone else around him was a handicap for his potential But when SHTF and a war starts, children dying families and friends of people he knew start dropping dead for an ego competition between nations, he couldn't help but to be very pradimatic and seek the solution in doing what the clans of those whom raised him did in war times: whatever is necessary to make them regret to fight with us, "even more people will die without my intervention, so sacrifices are acceptable, they already killed too many and I need to put an end to this now", it was very clear and simple, there is no reason to send children to war, they won't accomplish anything, they will die, we will lose village secrets, there's no time for taboos and morality,we already lost enough... Tsunade already lost more then she should... Idk, Orochimaru never got a chance to be himself or find who he wanted to be, he was just dragged by situations and convenience and never really cared about what would happen to him, he just danced the song that was playing and didn't cared if he was the fool, the tyrant or the hero. It just pisses me off to have Minato no even being a character and being instantly loves and worshiped by the community and people shitting on Sasuke and Orochimaru because "they are dumb edgy evil", Seinen characters stuck on Shounen manga are a waste of potential, people don't get that good writing and development doesn't equate to positive development, it's built on high and lows, the biggest foundation are the flaws and the mistakes of the characters and the compelling aspect is in how it affects the world and the handle the world with those flaws, sometimes the flaws become strength and growth, sometimes iron needs heat and beating to release its impurities and become stronger, sometimes, you have to understand that a story needs to be told and someone has to carry the burden of a flaw so it can become interesting or consistent. Idk, Orochimaru needs like 20 podcast episodes just to discuss his character development so people start realizing how masterfully written he was and being a "bad character" makes him a great character and one of the most impactful of the entire series, he is the Roddie on the backstage that makes the magic happens, similar to how Tobirama is the root of every traged and bloodshed of the entire series and how Itachi was the most essential character of Naruto classic, it isn't about what is in the pages, but what wasn't written, but was always there being the foundation for everything.

I think there are some pretty notable flaws in the arguments made here. 1) The kage only fought Sasuke gauntlet style because Ay wanted to get revenge on him for capturing Killer Bee so the others honored his request. It’s far more likely that given the threat oro possess, they’d all take the opportunity to blitz him. 2) Gaara vs Oro deserves more attention. Given the fighting styles of both, a reasonable argument can be made that Gaara serves as a hard counter for Orochimaru by himself. 3) The five kage have enough support to seal edo tensei. The anbu are present, danzo has genjutsu and onoki can blast them away. Oro’s edo aren’t the same kind and quality as Kabuto’s. They can arguably be killed traditionally and they’d be further from their original level of power than what we see in the war arc. 4) Oro wouldn’t be helped by Zetsu or Tobi. After he left the akatsuki, he was deemed to be a threat worth keeping an eye on. In the event he did something that inadvertently aided them, they’d certainly “clean up“ or capitalize on the chaos, but arguably Tobi wouldn’t even be there if not for Sasuke and Zetsu’s more likely to appear after the fact and finish someone off, steal information, etc and report back. 5) Orochimaru was dead at the time of the five kage summit and only had a more powerful version of edo tensei post revival during the war, meaning the only reasonable version of him to use during this fight was the one that fought Hiruzen and this version wouldn’t have revived soldiers capable of simply stomping the kage. Good video overall, particularly adhering to the exact conditions Sasuke faced, but Sasuke was seen as a non-threat and that’s why the events unfolded how they did. Orochimaru simply being alive might’ve influenced the summit not to have happened in the first place. In the event that it did happen anyway, they’re not taking any chances letting Ay go play with him alone.
It's almost as if orochimaru is super comparable to sasuke in 5 kage summit and is only surpassed after fighting in this very arcand getting rage amps. I guess the uchiha get avenged by Oro? since they actually liked him and wanted him to be hokage, kinda cause fugaku wasnt gonna get it?
So in my last video I discussed each sannin and at which point they were surpassed by their team seven counterparts. I concluded that at some point (likely in the latter half) Sasuke Surpassed Oro in the summit
Orochimaru was a prodigy growing up, he got trained by hiruzen, lived through the toughest time. He learned a lot about uchihas and tobirama. Orochimaru should of been greater than minato from the start but they turned him evil and ambitious smh
I’m sorry. Orochimaru doesn’t beat all 5 kage at the summit. There’s just too many power houses, included their jonin level henchmen. With prep time, I could maybe possibly see it. Danzo himself and his Anbu team is a cheat code. Add gaara and the raikage and it’s not looking good at all. Not to mention onokis atomic dismantling jutsu is an instant kill.

Idk Gaara was able to block attacks from Madara susano clones as also being able to pull him out, his sand was fast enough to react to Minato when helping eight gates guy, and naruto after fighting the 3rd raikage did mention that Gaara has the best defense up to that point. I don't see Orochimaru getting past Gaara, he gets completely crushed and buried under Sand.
Very good video - tbh; Without trying to quantify their respective mental nerfs, I think Orochimaru should scale above the 3rd - Old man Hiruzen is likely even weaker than Enma during the Oro fight - Hiruzen is too slow to handle Edo Hashirama's wood style, barely reacting and relying on Enma to save him; twice. - Hiruzen also has trouble combo-ing w/ Enma, getting caught by the Edo-Kage before Enma can reach Oro - OTOH Oro defeats Enma instantly with the striking snake jutsu. - so somthing like Hiruzen
The fact that if he didnt show evil intent he would have been shown over Minato to be the fourth is severely over looked for all the praise Minato gets.
Something I’m starting to realise more and more about these debates or discussion. Is that justu versatility matters more and more. For instance sage mode Naruto vs sage more jairiya. There is no clear cut way Naruto can just win simply because he doesn’t have the experience jairiya has nor the justu variety. Like barrier justu is super underrated and not used enough and gives the precognition that something like the sharigan does. But why don’t more ninja in the verse use it?

I do agree with the overall title of the video tho, don't get me wrong on that. Orochimaru > 5 kage individually and a full powered Orochimaru with edo tensei would make it through the kage one by one, though I could see him using a bit of reinforcements like Sasuke had with Taka and Zetsu.
In part 1 no one was beating orochimaru unless it was itachi, pain and obito. The kages would lose to hiruzen fight orochimaru and get slap by war arc orochimaru
A few corrections, hiruzen wasn the strongest of the five kage he is below ohnoki and then raikage id argue even garra. Orochimaru isnt crushing the summit, literally raikage alone bodies him hard, not to mention ohnoki...
IT was stated that Hiruzen was the strongest at the time and at that time Gaara wasn't a kage. Ohnoki was also not as strong as he got after fighting Madara.
Really hope we eventually actually see the fight between jiraiya and naruto in full because after six’ recent video he brought up a point I don’t here others talk about and I’d like to bring it up. What is rated higher, durability or regeneration? Because while jiraiya did almost die he did still have enough durability to not be literally cut in half and maybe hit twice if you go based of the ruble in the manga and still seal Naruto, where as orochi got cut through like butter but had the advantage of regen and even with that didn’t take down Naruto. (I know his nerf factors into that though which makes the match up hard to truly quantify. If he didn’t have regen him vs jiraiya wouldn’t be as much of a discussion but I guess that would make the fight less interesting
Jiraiya was struck, whereas Orochimaru was slashed. Slashes are more deadly, as the same amount of force that Jiraiya barely withstood in the past, instead of being spread across his chest, in Orochimaru's case, had been focused into sharp claws. That's why he was severed in half. If Jiraiya had been in Orochimaru's place, recieving that slash, he would've certainly died. All in all, Orochimaru has very much comparable durability to Jiraiya's, with regeneration on top. Jiraiya also only suppressed 4T Naruto with a tag, while Orochimaru didn't have one on him at the time, and couldn't access his jutsu.

I think Orochimaru should have been the one to kill Madara and been revealed to be an Otsutsuki. All the pieces were there. He always wanted the sharingan why so he could enact the eye of the moon plan. He’s the only character in Naruto with white skin besides the Otsutsuki. He is always trying to take a body just like the Otsutsuki. He has the curse mark Otsutsuki have the karma seal. He has a vast knowledge of the all the jutsu. He was the first main villain of the series things could have come full circle. I think it made too much sense to not go that direction. Way better than bringing kaygua in outta no where

Honestly I don't think Raikage lands a single hit on Orochi. Orochimaru was literally playing with 4 tails rage mode naruto while in his weakest state. Every hit Naruto landed on him was just reversed with snake gimmicks. Beating Orochimaru in taijutsu is pretty hard considering his strange fighting style His snake summonings can overpower 4 tails and he hard counters raikage with his wind jutsu and when he uses edo tensei, its basically over
Orochimaru is pretty broken when you stop to analyze him, if you're not insanely powerful or don't have an insanely strong genjutsu you're basically screwed if you're going to fight him, he has a bunch of ridiculously difficult broken jutsu to deal with.

Orochimaru triple teamed Hiruzen lost and this isn't infinite stamina/chakra Hiruzen and the Edos were much weaker than the originals. Orochimaru fought Hiruzen solo , edo tensei was his summonings. Him attacking the Leaf is the biggest flex because it's the strongest village. Other villages would have been easier to take out. Even a weakened Hashirama is still much much stronger than the kages
Several times in the video you mention "Orochimaru's many Ninjutsu" as a point of relevance but you don't fully elaborate on them... because no one has ever seen them 😅. That's the problem with Orochimaru narratively; he's stated to possess many Ninjutsu but we only see a few of them in the Forest of Death, and like a whole two of them in the Hiruzen fight. Then he loses tug-of-war to a dying old man. Then he finally gets his arms back in the War Arc and does *absolutely nothing new with them*. Peak Orochimaru would definitely clear the Kage Summit but it happens off screen 🤣. Edit: Obviously we aren't counting his many variations of snake based jutsu among his "many Ninjutsu" because c'mon we all know thats not what the lore is trying to imply.
I think the whole Orochimaru vs Jiraiya meta is quite flawed. We never saw the Orochi defection and the same mental nerfs that Naruto had also applies to Jiraiya. We also never saw the 4 tails vs Jiraiya fight, and same thing goes for him not trying to kill Naruto/could be taken off guard (similar to Minato in the one shot), and even then we see that Jiraiya got away with a scar while Orochimaru got Gojo'd, I repeat Orochimaru got straight up kitkat'd by 4 tails Naruto and only lived because of his weird snake powers. Also to note the fact that Jiraiya actually was successful in subduing 4 tails Naruto (who could even be stronger since the seal was not suppressing him), while Orochimaru basically lost and only lived because of Yamato subduing Naruto. Obviously there are many nuances to these (some mentioned) like Orochimaru's probable nerf, Jiraya's level atp etc etc, but overall Orochimaru and Jiraiya are very evenly matched, especially talking about their overall character preset, maybe giving Orochimaru a minor edge.

Orochimaru really needs some representation on youtube, not only he is the best prodigy Konoha ever had, but his character development is solid, he was too many steps beyond his peers, his decent into madness was a telegraphed airplane crash. Way too much talent being the trully first generation since Konoha was built, surrounded by wartorn veterans and clans that were so dirty that even after everything Orochimaru did, he seems well adjusted near those whom raised him.
The tale of the unpaired genius that gone wrong because no one was able to qualify as a mentor for him is pretty old, but you put that with a Society built on murdering each other, having Tobirama as his mirror, the man that created the filthiest jutsus to win at any cost. Ok, that was a recipe for disaster, but no, he managed to be ok, just a prodigy out of the curve, but nothing more than odd with way too much talent and no one to make the most of it, everyone else around him was a handicap for his potential
But when SHTF and a war starts, children dying families and friends of people he knew start dropping dead for an ego competition between nations, he couldn't help but to be very pradimatic and seek the solution in doing what the clans of those whom raised him did in war times: whatever is necessary to make them regret to fight with us, "even more people will die without my intervention, so sacrifices are acceptable, they already killed too many and I need to put an end to this now", it was very clear and simple, there is no reason to send children to war, they won't accomplish anything, they will die, we will lose village secrets, there's no time for taboos and morality,we already lost enough... Tsunade already lost more then she should...
Idk, Orochimaru never got a chance to be himself or find who he wanted to be, he was just dragged by situations and convenience and never really cared about what would happen to him, he just danced the song that was playing and didn't cared if he was the fool, the tyrant or the hero.
It just pisses me off to have Minato no even being a character and being instantly loves and worshiped by the community and people shitting on Sasuke and Orochimaru because "they are dumb edgy evil", Seinen characters stuck on Shounen manga are a waste of potential, people don't get that good writing and development doesn't equate to positive development, it's built on high and lows, the biggest foundation are the flaws and the mistakes of the characters and the compelling aspect is in how it affects the world and the handle the world with those flaws, sometimes the flaws become strength and growth, sometimes iron needs heat and beating to release its impurities and become stronger, sometimes, you have to understand that a story needs to be told and someone has to carry the burden of a flaw so it can become interesting or consistent.
Idk, Orochimaru needs like 20 podcast episodes just to discuss his character development so people start realizing how masterfully written he was and being a "bad character" makes him a great character and one of the most impactful of the entire series, he is the Roddie on the backstage that makes the magic happens, similar to how Tobirama is the root of every traged and bloodshed of the entire series and how Itachi was the most essential character of Naruto classic, it isn't about what is in the pages, but what wasn't written, but was always there being the foundation for everything.

I think there are some pretty notable flaws in the arguments made here.
1) The kage only fought Sasuke gauntlet style because Ay wanted to get revenge on him for capturing Killer Bee so the others honored his request. It’s far more likely that given the threat oro possess, they’d all take the opportunity to blitz him.
2) Gaara vs Oro deserves more attention. Given the fighting styles of both, a reasonable argument can be made that Gaara serves as a hard counter for Orochimaru by himself.
3) The five kage have enough support to seal edo tensei. The anbu are present, danzo has genjutsu and onoki can blast them away. Oro’s edo aren’t the same kind and quality as Kabuto’s. They can arguably be killed traditionally and they’d be further from their original level of power than what we see in the war arc.
4) Oro wouldn’t be helped by Zetsu or Tobi. After he left the akatsuki, he was deemed to be a threat worth keeping an eye on. In the event he did something that inadvertently aided them, they’d certainly “clean up“ or capitalize on the chaos, but arguably Tobi wouldn’t even be there if not for Sasuke and Zetsu’s more likely to appear after the fact and finish someone off, steal information, etc and report back.
5) Orochimaru was dead at the time of the five kage summit and only had a more powerful version of edo tensei post revival during the war, meaning the only reasonable version of him to use during this fight was the one that fought Hiruzen and this version wouldn’t have revived soldiers capable of simply stomping the kage.
Good video overall, particularly adhering to the exact conditions Sasuke faced, but Sasuke was seen as a non-threat and that’s why the events unfolded how they did. Orochimaru simply being alive might’ve influenced the summit not to have happened in the first place. In the event that it did happen anyway, they’re not taking any chances letting Ay go play with him alone.

I’m sorry. Orochimaru doesn’t beat all 5 kage at the summit. There’s just too many power houses, included their jonin level henchmen. With prep time, I could maybe possibly see it. Danzo himself and his Anbu team is a cheat code. Add gaara and the raikage and it’s not looking good at all. Not to mention onokis atomic dismantling jutsu is an instant kill.

Idk Gaara was able to block attacks from Madara susano clones as also being able to pull him out, his sand was fast enough to react to Minato when helping eight gates guy, and naruto after fighting the 3rd raikage did mention that Gaara has the best defense up to that point. I don't see Orochimaru getting past Gaara, he gets completely crushed and buried under Sand.

Very good video - tbh; Without trying to quantify their respective mental nerfs, I think Orochimaru should scale above the 3rd - Old man Hiruzen is likely even weaker than Enma during the Oro fight - Hiruzen is too slow to handle Edo Hashirama's wood style, barely reacting and relying on Enma to save him; twice. - Hiruzen also has trouble combo-ing w/ Enma, getting caught by the Edo-Kage before Enma can reach Oro - OTOH Oro defeats Enma instantly with the striking snake jutsu. - so somthing like Hiruzen

Something I’m starting to realise more and more about these debates or discussion. Is that justu versatility matters more and more. For instance sage mode Naruto vs sage more jairiya. There is no clear cut way Naruto can just win simply because he doesn’t have the experience jairiya has nor the justu variety. Like barrier justu is super underrated and not used enough and gives the precognition that something like the sharigan does. But why don’t more ninja in the verse use it?
"Orochimaru is closer to Sage Jiriaya....Kakuzu, one of the stronger akatsuki members...etc...etc" This is what bothers me about some of these videos; you and several others start out very well with an interesting approach but then you start spamming out random "facts" with absolutely no back up to them.
I do agree with the overall title of the video tho, don't get me wrong on that. Orochimaru > 5 kage individually and a full powered Orochimaru with edo tensei would make it through the kage one by one, though I could see him using a bit of reinforcements like Sasuke had with Taka and Zetsu.
All they really go off of are data book statements and certain feats but in this video orochimaru definitely slaps the 5 kage

A few corrections, hiruzen wasn the strongest of the five kage he is below ohnoki and then raikage id argue even garra. Orochimaru isnt crushing the summit, literally raikage alone bodies him hard, not to mention ohnoki...
IT was stated that Hiruzen was the strongest at the time and at that time Gaara wasn't a kage. Ohnoki was also not as strong as he got after fighting Madara.

Really hope we eventually actually see the fight between jiraiya and naruto in full because after six’ recent video he brought up a point I don’t here others talk about and I’d like to bring it up. What is rated higher, durability or regeneration? Because while jiraiya did almost die he did still have enough durability to not be literally cut in half and maybe hit twice if you go based of the ruble in the manga and still seal Naruto, where as orochi got cut through like butter but had the advantage of regen and even with that didn’t take down Naruto. (I know his nerf factors into that though which makes the match up hard to truly quantify. If he didn’t have regen him vs jiraiya wouldn’t be as much of a discussion but I guess that would make the fight less interesting
Jiraiya was struck, whereas Orochimaru was slashed. Slashes are more deadly, as the same amount of force that Jiraiya barely withstood in the past, instead of being spread across his chest, in Orochimaru's case, had been focused into sharp claws. That's why he was severed in half. If Jiraiya had been in Orochimaru's place, recieving that slash, he would've certainly died. All in all, Orochimaru has very much comparable durability to Jiraiya's, with regeneration on top.
Jiraiya also only suppressed 4T Naruto with a tag, while Orochimaru didn't have one on him at the time, and couldn't access his jutsu.

He always wanted the sharingan why so he could enact the eye of the moon plan. He’s the only character in Naruto with white skin besides the Otsutsuki. He is always trying to take a body just like the Otsutsuki. He has the curse mark Otsutsuki have the karma seal. He has a vast knowledge of the all the jutsu. He was the first main villain of the series things could have come full circle. I think it made too much sense to not go that direction. Way better than bringing kaygua in outta no where

Honestly I don't think Raikage lands a single hit on Orochi. Orochimaru was literally playing with 4 tails rage mode naruto while in his weakest state. Every hit Naruto landed on him was just reversed with snake gimmicks. Beating Orochimaru in taijutsu is pretty hard considering his strange fighting style

Orochimaru is pretty broken when you stop to analyze him, if you're not insanely powerful or don't have an insanely strong genjutsu you're basically screwed if you're going to fight him, he has a bunch of ridiculously difficult broken jutsu to deal with.

Several times in the video you mention "Orochimaru's many Ninjutsu" as a point of relevance but you don't fully elaborate on them... because no one has ever seen them 😅.
That's the problem with Orochimaru narratively; he's stated to possess many Ninjutsu but we only see a few of them in the Forest of Death, and like a whole two of them in the Hiruzen fight. Then he loses tug-of-war to a dying old man. Then he finally gets his arms back in the War Arc and does *absolutely nothing new with them*.
Peak Orochimaru would definitely clear the Kage Summit but it happens off screen 🤣.
Edit: Obviously we aren't counting his many variations of snake based jutsu among his "many Ninjutsu" because c'mon we all know thats not what the lore is trying to imply.

I think the whole Orochimaru vs Jiraiya meta is quite flawed. We never saw the Orochi defection and the same mental nerfs that Naruto had also applies to Jiraiya. We also never saw the 4 tails vs Jiraiya fight, and same thing goes for him not trying to kill Naruto/could be taken off guard (similar to Minato in the one shot), and even then we see that Jiraiya got away with a scar while Orochimaru got Gojo'd, I repeat Orochimaru got straight up kitkat'd by 4 tails Naruto and only lived because of his weird snake powers. Also to note the fact that Jiraiya actually was successful in subduing 4 tails Naruto (who could even be stronger since the seal was not suppressing him), while Orochimaru basically lost and only lived because of Yamato subduing Naruto.
Obviously there are many nuances to these (some mentioned) like Orochimaru's probable nerf, Jiraya's level atp etc etc, but overall Orochimaru and Jiraiya are very evenly matched, especially talking about their overall character preset, maybe giving Orochimaru a minor edge.
