Two metal detecting gurus. What a blessing! From this comparison both was quite comparable? You and Kenny both using hand diggers makes the hobby playing in the dirt in public parks that are for the aesthetic appearance for the public more acceptable. I have noticed laws are changing allowing metal detecting in certain States, and State Parks restricting what a person can dig with. One here requires a permit, and you are restricted to a screwdriver, or a gasket scraper similar to what Kenny was using. Kenny has good skills using the scraper. Bill had just mentioned doing a comparison with Kenny and his Manticore. I will have to check his channel out. Thanks for the video.
The D2 is the best machine I have ever used. Somehow it seems to pull out targets that other detectors cant even see. It amazes me ever time I take it out.
I went to Kennys channel after watching this video. I knew immediately I had been on his channel before when I saw the video where he found the ring for the woman. He was using a Garrett metal detector and using a small digger, i.e., perhaps the same gasket scraper he is using here. That woman was so happy he found her ring she done a cartwheel before he left. lol
@@mowerdog I will! You deserve to be commended for helping people locate lost items. Manticore is not receiving many reviews! Perhaps there is not many in operators hands yet? Thank you for doing everything for the hobby.
Great video, thanks for the comparison hunt both detectors are top notch. If I were to buy one I'd pick the manticore. similar to a ctx 3030 or Etrac wich I own.
I know you are both comparing but we are spoilt here in Australia because I set my Equinox tones for $1 and $2 coins only in our parks . I don’t even waste my time on the lower denominations . As I said we are spoilt and I have become a lazy coin snob 😂😂
Here is Kennys channel. www.youtube.com/@mowerdog
Hi Kenny. You and Bill looks like you had fun Metal Detecing. Nice video

Thanks for the positive comments. We are grateful that we are able to detect our local parks and try to be as neat as possible.
Super as always, I thought Kenny might need a post hole digger on that "Roman" coin. Kinda painful weather, I know. You guys rock!
Thanks.
Excellent comparison video! I was expecting the numbers to be closer to the same on the manticore as they are on the D2 than they are.
These both are best metal detector
Great run through! I've dug 2 nickels with my Manticore so far- both hit at 25 VDI.
Pretty good comparison you did there.
Nice hand digger what brand is it. Manticore VDI seems more jumpy than the Deus 2
The digger is called a predator raptor model 31c
Nice job guys! I am sure enjoying my Deus 2…. Awesome machine!!!

@@DirtFishing exactly what I have been saying about it as well! 😂 and like you I have used a lot of the top dogs over the years!! Best of luck to you…
@@tommyb7340 Thanks.
I’ve got a Deus 2. And now I want a Manticore. Both have dynamic screens instead of static. So firmware updates can add visual updates. Pretty cool.
Your silly my boy to do that

Lol.....I didnt watch that one.
She was quite the looker as well! You should watch the ring return with Amanda on the thumbnail.
@@mowerdog O she was beautiful! When questioned about the cartwheel she became assertive! lol I enjoyed that video!

Is that a 9" coil on the deus, and an 11" on the manticore?
Yes
Where did you go Metal Detecing at
It was one of Kennys secret spots....Lol He would probably never invite me again if I told everyone.....;o)
@@DirtFishing that ok good video
Thanks for vid.
Why comparing shallow targets you already know both machines wil hit?
There are other factors like masking, etc that may be going on. We also compared deeper targets. Kenny may post them later.
Send me one of these a gift your videos so good

We have some dollar coins but you do not find them very often here. I wish there were more to be found.
Garrett 2500 would have to me it wasn't a nickel.
