If it’s one thing I really enjoy about a video it’s watching guys who actually know how to metal detect. You’ve been around TH-cam, you know what I’m talking about…excellent reminder about keeping away from each! This goes for many other machines as well, FBS/FBS2 doesn’t play well either. Very well done guys.
Think about how many adjustments you made within 10 feet of the other detector. And it goes for both of you. I noticed that years ago with the DFX and the CTX 3030. The DFX would chatter where as the CTX3030 was quiet but I noticed if stayed up on him he wasn't pulling targets as deep as I could when I stayed within10 to 15 feet. I didnt tell him at first because he used to talk smack being the 3030's DD's separated better because the DFX first had a concentric coil. It heard more noice but ooerated better under cross talk. I coukd here when to back away he couldnt so I got up on him where I heard it slightly and cut his legs out from under him, I let him walk up away then pull the targets he walked over because I was (stalking) behind him kind of sabotaging him lol. And he was getting so p*ssed that I was pulling deep coins literally right behind him and he never did figure out how I kept doing it lol
The Deus is all about the tones. Put the remote away, not even necessary. In my opinion run that machine hot, you want to hear everything in the ground.. Nice seated!
Great hunt! I've been using my Manticore since the update and went back to my city's oldest park and have dug a seated and a bunch of Indians, along with some cool relics, too. Very happy to see improvements in the machine! I do mostly schools and ballfields and have 332 silver coins FTY - it is a beast :)
The Manticore is showing 7 inches keep in mind per the manual the first depth indicator is 3 inches not 2 with each indicator after representing 2 inches
It's about the signal, and what I heard in your video: D2 rules! Much more convincing tones! By the way: you're not good diggers!😂 Always dig next to the object and then need the pinpointer! 🤔 I need the pinpointer 1 in 10 times at most...and that with all the detectors I've had! 🤭 A good tip: look and listen... focus on the exact spot where you hear the signal! 👊👍
It is called the unit probe made by Detectorpro. It is a pulse induction pinpointer that goes real deep. You could see all the details at the website Detectorpro.com

good stuff as always Carter.... so i hunt with the D2 almost exclusively and i guess i am wondering whether or not i actually need to do the software upgrade in your judgement?? i use primarily General or Mono....sometimes Deep HD doesn't seem to be any performance issues .....so what is the real need or potential improvement that i would be gaining? i am old school and always operate under the IF IT AIN'T BROKE axiom....

Good tip about not getting close to another detector for deep targets!
Another excellent video. Keep them coming. So far this year I’ve found 25 silver coins. The Deus II is just smacking the silver.

You said General Program, only adjustment was max of 14 frequency and everything else was kept factory programmed?

which one is better? or are they equal? which one should i buy?
i noticed on my d2 when the depth gauge is barely registering it’s about 6-7 inches on a penny sized coin.
Sounds about right. Most of the deep targets I dug did not even register on depth bar

All matter of preference, I like the features with the upgrade. Being able to adjust the highest frequency you're using seems to help
