Okay 1st they should have drafted from the river and used the monitor on the engine at much closer proximity to the fire. 2nd the small boat with a deck gun needed to advance on the fire scene. They were worthless. They were not even establishing a water curtain. Should have been knocked down in 15 minutes.
It's pointless to fight a fiberglass boat fire. You need to tow the vessel away from other vessels and docks, and beach it where the fire can burn itself out but the boat will not sink
Okay, there is enough water around the boat, maybe it is al lake ! or river !, why taking water from a long distance, drive that damm fire truck on the beach nearby the boat and take water out of the lake.
I'm guessing this is the first fire fight for all of these men in the fire department. Sure, they are there to rescue people, and once they do that they put out the fire. Looks to me like it's a lack of training. How hard would it be to move the fire truck 10 feet closer to the fire?? This is a sad day for the fire fighters, both on shore and on the river.
freedom4kaz no you can't move the truck closer those trucks are to heavy to be driving off road like that and second they can only get as much water pressure as the hydrant can supply because the truck can not do that itself
