  • You don't need a huge backyard to attract and photograph birds. In fact, my small backyard doesn't even have trees! In this video I'll show you my simple setup for attracting and photographing birds in my backyard.

You got some nice photos and videos in your yard. Nice for when you can’t get out and for watching the wildlife in your backyard. Thanks for the tips.

Really appreciate the kind comment! Backyard bird photography is a great way to cure that nature fox when time is hard to come by. Thanks for watching!

You can't go wrong with some native shrubs! They themselves will attract birds/bees/and lots of other wildlife. And they look nice. Check your local parks/nurseries/botanical gardens. Nice videos! Thanks for uploading.

Thanks for the ideas! I'm planning to try to plant some things in the spring!

Love, LovE backyard birding ! :) I have multiple feeders, and multiple perches set up all over the back yard, and a little portable blind. Its funny, often I will use the excuse, I'm just going to run out back and test some new camera settings, or gear, or whatever.... But in reality, I just enjoy it. And this, coming from the same guy who did three 4500 mile, 3 wk birding trips, in '23 :) I love it all :)
Hey btw, I love your idea about the large print of foliage for the BG. I might go out and try to get some BG foliage shots.... Heck, I can imagine all kinds of cool ones... how about a purple thistle field ? or Fall colors... and then have it printed as large as I can afford... sharpness completely unimportant :) < that will be different ! :) lol I'm going to start a collection of foliage shots, then decide which ones to print :) Much thanks, and God bless :)

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you liked the idea of using a large print for the background! :)

I've actually been wanting to setup something like this in my yard. We've got a few things that need to be done in the yard before I can really do anything, but this was helpful.

I’ve spent countless hours just looking out my window announcing the birds as they arrive at the feeders to the annoyance of my family! 😂 Doesn’t matter how small your yard might be. It’s really neat to watch wildlife enjoy what you setup for them!

@@matthewgehly I had to laugh at your comment because I'll sit on the couch with binoculars in hand trying to identify all the birds. I'm glad that it's not just me.
