Asking for some advice for a 1929 Ford Pickup build

Sooo, I am asking for advice for my upcoming Monogram 1/24 scale 1929 Ford Pickup build. Do I weather it like its been stuck in the Aussie desert for a number of years, or should it look like your grandfather kept in in immaculate condition all these years. The are lots of old cars like this out on stations in the desert regions of Australia.
Let me know and I will do up a play list or just do one long video of the whole build (probably just a playlist). Also, what colour should the engine be? Thanks in advance people (if you offer advice before March 2023)

I think the weathered look would look really good. It would also help with other models. Especially armour. It seems you look to be loving your armour. I'd love to give armour and ships a go but can't justify buying them when I've already got so many kits in my stash. Maybe somewhere down the line if see one at a good price

Its a Hot Rod Hibbo, so either Show car finish(bright and shiny), or Rat rodd it, (mat coat finish, but shiny chrome and engine) and then weather it. Either way it should look great

Love old school Monogram kits. I hate to use a cliche but build it the way YOU want. I'll be watching

There are some great videos on TH-cam of 1929 ford pickup trucks that would give you some great reference material to choose from ,
But I personally would go for the beat up look 👍

Hi Simon, I would go with a Rat Rod. An old pickup with faded paint but with a nice engine. There are lots of pictures online to give you ideas. Have a great day mate. Jeff

It's a nice old monogram kit, it originally came out in 1964, it has the old hot rodders favorite Cadillac engine in it, I like shiny paint, but whatever you decide, it is going to be really cool, 😎👍✌️, Tom
