Could have shown how the extra power helps when hauling or towing or how it handles corners or brakes when fully loaded but instead you chose to demonstrate how to use it in the most socially irresponsible way possible, to be "consistent" with yours channel. The people who drive utes are always in a hurry anyway. Now when some tradie has a bad day, he/she'll be drifting around corners with their ... stacked high on the tray and take out a few pedestrians when it topples over. We'll be remembering you then.

It features a twin-turbo engine with 292kW and Fox Racing suspension as standard, along with a loud exhaust mode. We are only testing what it can do and showcasing the results for our audience/potential buyers. If you don’t like the video, that’s ok. Give it a thumbs down or just don’t watch it. There are loads of other videos on TH-cam 👍
Corporate social responsibility, if you look it up, isn't about saying "go watch something else." So, if some clown watches this video, wants to replicate it on a public road (illegally) and takes out some kids on the side walk, do you people sleep at night thinking you had no part in it? Raced one of these with my 228i, it's impressive how well it kept up for such a big vehicle 👏 with a tune I suspect it will be rapid!

Well the slightly heavier sibling of the 300 the lx600 ran 0-100 in 6.34 seconds iirc.
This engine has plenty of gofast bits in the US. Not too exy or hard to get the heavier Ford explorer with the same engine well into 12's down the qtr.

Hi, how did you manage to get a wheelspin almost like a burnout at 6:16? Is there a launch program for that, like the line lock or something? Great video!
I've test driven one and if you have the T/C off in 2WD it spins the wheels to around 80ks without even trying even on dry bitumen. My V6 diesel scratches for traction all the time with T/C off also. They are pretty impressive.
@@redroo12 I see, however in this video it definitely wasn't that. You can see the back end starting to lift while the front remains blocked, and then the wheel starts spinning very slowly.
@redroo12 not impressive if you factor in a/t tyres or offroad tyre and low first and second gear ratio on most Ute's. Off road tyres have harder compound so it's not as grippy

Because European emissions restrictions, they detuned the engine for Europe
and we got 500 Nm in thailand 👍

New Hilux's have 4 pot calipers as standard.

@Harri Rauhanummi Goodluck towing anything heavier than an empty box trailer legally with those 2 pot brakes.
You'll need to invest minimum of 3K for brake calipers and master cylinder upgrades.
Just drop another 5 grand on a up grade.

This might sound retarded but could you run it on LPG or even E85? Does it require premium fuel? If these types of performance engines were optimised to make use of the higher octane rating of LPG & E85, would they not be more economical?

@@David-fd6ex i test drove one to see what the fuss is about. For a start it handles like a boat and for second it has plastic panels and sounds absolutely terrible. Not my cup of tea, you can keep it!!

@@shanea9613 It's actually not ok. It's very poor. The Lexus LX (2600KG), Toyota Land cruiser (2545KG) and Nissan Patrol (2708KG) all stop well shorter than this.
