  • Continuing this episode, I bring Target to the DPC to meet some of my animals. One of them is my llama, Lorenzo.
Target, a chihuahua mix, is being labeled as a nightmare. An aggressive dog that has been snapping and biting at people. He has been creating a divide in the household, which may result in the grandson getting rid of his beloved dog...
Can I find the solution to this case?
I will be reacting to this episode next week!

@@nkznkz3800 sadly alot of people don't realize small dogs are very easily prone to teeth issues. My guess it's likely since "standard" size and bigger dogs usually don't have as much of an issue with them, people just don't consider it as much. It's still no excuse and it was pretty bad how oblivious they were to that severe of a dental problem. Not to mention, either they have an absolute trash of a vet or they haven't taken the dog in for years

@@madelainemadelaine2934 Yeah. But the reason isnt going to matter to anyone if that dog bites a kid, or even an adult. They get put down after 3 times as a law. And NO DOGS DO NOT ALL BITE OUT OF FEAR. 90% of dogs would never bite a human no matter how scared they get. I have seen dogs being rescued that are so frightened they pee all over themselves and cry and shiver like a leaf. But never ONCE even consider biting. All dogs do NOT act like this. If it was me, I would give the dog to shelter, and wish the best of luck to anyone that wanted to adopt him. So taking responsibility away from the dog or the owner for bad behavior and just saying "Oh well its afraid so just accept it" is irresponsible and kind of insane.

@@spidermanps4fan195 many people are mislead about pitbulls and many are ignorant. They are very loving, compassionate and loyal dogs. They just have a lot of muscle and don't realize they are built like a tank..lol! I would suggest you use one word like "easy" when you don't want your pity to play rough and while saying that stop playing. Once it's a repetitive they will get it. You just have to have patience and authority in your voice. I taught my pit to ring a bell to go outside, to play easy with a specific toy and not destroy it because I had filling all over my house. So I taught her to be easy and I called it her baby. So now when I say baby or easy she knows she has to be gentle. I have friends with babies and they know she will be gentle with them. They are very smart dogs. I love my pit!

You are the best. You did not hide that this was a really difficult case and you did not use treats to get results, like some people do whose programmes I do not watch.
Somebody who walks three male greyhounds occasionally (including one saluki, as in good luck with that) in a city environment, with no hands left to control them with treats, amidst all the dog poo picking (this is in Scandinavia), I know that treats are not the real source of authority/pack leadership.
Being a better hunter than them and being able to calm them down when their prey instinct kicks off is, as well as being a better pack leader as in pre-empting the dog pack leader's male dominance moves makes the difference. Not really a relaxing walk always, with squirrels and city bunnies and lots of other dogs, but a thoroughly enjoyable one, given how much the dogs enjoy it too. We are all on the hunt in a way.
Mind you, these dogs flatten me without an effort, given that I'm lighter than them and add to that their muscle power if they get any speed or even jump towards a prey in unison on a short leash. Trying to get my treats out of my pocket at that moment is just pure illusion. All I can do is hold on and try to keep my face off the ground. Hence leadership by energy is the only choice. The thing that you, Cesar Millan, taught me.

I had a vet once who never said anything about my dog's teeth. Then we noticed a loose tooth about a month after his annual checkup. We took him back to the vet, and they ended up pulling eight teeth because of periodontal disease, and he was on antibiotics after that. Extremely upset, I asked my vet how that could be, why they never mentioned the condition of his teeth. He said that so many people don't want to hear it, they (the vets) get discouraged and don't even bother talking about it. That was the last time I ever spoke to him. I got us a good vet after that.

The kid was way too relieved and quick to say yes please. Clearly miss Cathy has her heart in the right place, but not the sharpest knife in the drawer to realise the dog needed dental surgery. Poor thing is scared, insecure. He just needs a calm and positive energy. She's acting scared like him .

You can love and give your dog affection but you also have to teach your dog boundaries too

Wow the she was so tense, walked in, & stared at him, even her crazy slow approach with the bowl seemed menacing. The dog was returning that to her anxiety. She seemed afraid. It was adorable when she finally relaxed around him, he opened up to her. So sweet.

I've been watching Cesar forever and it always makes me tear up to see the dog become happy and the owners become not fearful.

This man truly has a gift. I think it’s all so obvious to him! And I don’t believe he understands that the rest of us can not see the things he sees lol.
