Worth noting: there is a size requirement for the jack platform if you drive on at Assateague. 12”x12” and 5/8” thick. You can get away with something smaller (or maybe traction boards) for Delaware, but if you’re buying something it might not hurt to pick up a plywood project panel that would work for both Delaware and Assateague. Several companies make dedicated plastic jack bases as well. Would be interesting to see if Assateague rangers would accept those even though they don’t meet the letter of the law for OSV. I don’t want to be the Guinea pig, though.
It's kind of funny that you even mentioned it but I've been out of commission due to that stupid 🦠. It was awful. Maybe that's reason enough to not speak its name.
