  • UPDATE: I have a new video coming soon of this fan installed in its new location
1998 Hampton Bay Carousel 52'' Ceiling Fan Model CD-5201 in red, blue, yellow, green, orange, and black finishes. This fan is in very good condition overall and seems like it was hardely ever used. It was made by Litex and uses the same motor that my Litex Diamond Crystal uses. This fan has a 3 way light kit like Nadair fans do, and it can be installed with 4 or 5 blades. This fan is a childhood fan for me also. It can be installed on the 6'' downrod shown in the video, or it can be flush mounted. Either way it is a very powerful fan. And the plastic blades it has are the same type of plastic as the blades on my Hunter Mariner. Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoyed!

*Love it! Keeps the room very **Fastly.Cool** . The manual states it comes with a year warranty and 5 year part replacement. The compressor makes the typical sound...small price to pay for AC.*

This is my childhood fan, mine has a 4/5 blade motor. I'm almost 14 now and replaced it in 2013.

Both generations of the carousel had bad capacitors so they would smoke on high speed

No, only the second generation did

I like how fast it goes, being that it's a plastic-bladed fan. The wood-bladed ones must be insane.

Thank You. It is one of my nicest used ceiling fans that I own. I'm still trying to find a good place to install it where it will be used on a regular basis. For now it just sits in a box along with my Evergo and my Landmark Plus.

Looks great, and with a brighter bulb installed that’s all the light you need. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxWF88GpljEn-0o34vtLFazEQ5h5Q33SjU As far as ease of installation- this was my first ceiling fan and it took about 3 hours because I had no idea what I was doing and also it’s helpful to have a second set of hands and a magnetic drill bit. Works great.

That's why I said IF I ever sell it because 1. I like this fan a whole lot and 2. wha you said is 100% correct. I don't think I'm ever going to get rid of this fan anyways because it is my childhood fan.

A little over 5 months now. I only got it 1 month before the video. Sure has been a good fan. By far the best Hampton Bay I've ever owned.

I got it from a Salvation Army goodwill store b my house for $20.00. This fan was definately worth the money I paid for it, and if I ever sell it, i would ask at least $30.00 for a fan in this good of condition.

Not bad. It hasn't really been used much since te video. But judging by how good it ran when I put it away I'm assuming it's just fine.

It's a bit wobbly I'm high speed but I don't think that it's not the blades I think is because the bearings are not straight enough inside and I think that you just mount it up the wrong way and I seen that you put on the bearings wrong because if you put up the bearings wrong if I wobble a bit

The blades are plastic, that's weird because the blades on mine look plastic but the orange blade is loosing paint in a small edge ad there was wood underneath it

Did you seriously just show me an eight minute video of a ceiling fan working and how to pull the chain to turn the lights on and off? I'm guessing that if someone needs this video to know how to use their fan they probably should not be out in public escorted by a competent adult.
