    Hello, you have great videos! I am new to making t shirts and I am trying to get into silk screen because I was using HTV and heat press before. I don't have much money for equipment so I love your process. What kind of photo hardener are you using, do you buy it online? Are you using regular paper or transparency paper to print your designs? Thank you so much for the help and information. I have subscribed to your channel and looking forward to learn many things from you. Excellent process and video.

    . Is this correct ?

    • @EasyVideos
      @EasyVideos  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're Understanding is Correct, POSITIVE is just a TERM USE by SCREEN PRINTERS for the PRINTED DESIGN....

    • @liverbird46
      @liverbird46 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the design is printed onto printer paper and is positioned on the silk screen using cooking oil- using this method negates the need to print image onto a transparency (the cooking oil makes the paper at least semi-transparent). That's how I see it anyway. I was going to ask about the use of cooking oil then I realised he hadn't printed the design onto a transparency.

And I don't have to use the hardener stuff? Did you just print out them on your printer then use the oil that was it

    • @EasyVideos
      @EasyVideos  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I use ordinary printer in printing my Positive and use ordinary cooking oil (buy the cheapest) in developing my Screen Stencils. Photo Emulsion may vary in color depending on the Brand and the Exposing Time maybe different also. :)

    Have a couple of questions ?
    1. Did you apply photo emulsion as well as sensitizer ? Whats the proportion ? Is it equal and did you apply to both sides of the screen ?
    2. When you say you have to spray water till the emulsion falls off.. Did you mean the entire emulsion all over the screen should fall off except the screen?
    3. is photo hardener mandatory ?
    Thanks mate..!

    • @EasyVideos
      @EasyVideos  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      1.The Ratio should be 9:1 or 90% photo Emulsion and 10% Sensitizer....I Applied it on Both Sides...
      2. No, it is the Un-exposed Part of the Screen which is also the Design should fall off or washes off....
      3. Yes, but there are other Brands of Photo Emulsion that don't need a Hardener....

    Hi Easy. Are you sure it's cooking oil or mineral oil ? I tried with cooking oil and no success and I think only mineral oil works as it's a petroleum based product. FYI I used Gingilly oil.

    • @EasyVideos
      @EasyVideos  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Purpose of the Oil is to make the Un-printed Part of Paper TRANSPARENT, you can also use other kinds of Oil...but since Cooking oil is the Easiest to Find and Cheapest it's the one I'm Recommending...in all my Tutorial Video I used Cooking Oil....

    • @liverbird46
      @liverbird46 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Easy
    It has not worked be at all. Not even a little bit! I used a laser printer. Do you think the way you apply emulsion on the screen matters? I did not have a scooper so I used a bank card. I need to try again. Hear from you.
    Helen

    • @EasyVideos
      @EasyVideos  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Somehow the design should be Visible while you are washing the screen even if the result is not a success, did you see the Design while you are washing the screen? The Problem when using Bank card is that the Emulsion on Screen is uneven but the design will still be Visible after exposure, so using Bank Card is not really the problem here....

    Andami nyong natutulungan dito sir. Halos lahat narereplyan nyo.:') Ask ko lang din sir sa half kilo ng j&j virgo na photo emulsion may nakadikit po dun na orange powder. Sensitizer po ba iyon o hardener? And kung sensitizer po yun gaano kadaming water sa bottle yung pwedeng ihalo dun. Thankyou sir!

    • @EasyVideos
      @EasyVideos  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sensitizer po iyon, yung nakasamang sensitizer dun ay para sa photo Emulsion na binili nyo, kung gagamitin nyo lahat ng Emulsion, Ilalahat nyo din ang Sensitizer, kung kalahati lang ang gagamitin nyong photo emulsion kalahati lang din ang ihahalo nyong sensitizer at kung 1/4 photo emulsion 1/4 din nung powder sensitizer...Directa na po ang paghalo dito sa powder HINDI na tinutunaw sa tubig....
