      @@fd9091 revise, revise and revise. I know a bloke from my school who wasn’t gifted at all at maths. Yet he persevered and was incredibly hard working and now has a masters degree in astrophysics. Anything is possible if you work for it.

      @@fd9091 oh god i'm very late to replying to this, sorry 😭 i'm currently in year 11, so my gcses are in 2-3 months time, i did pass my last maths mock exams, however i'm looking to do better in my next mock exams (which are in 2 weeks) since i am still not at the grade that i want.

      @@TheGCSEMathsTutor Yes, I have. I now use "trig" in my work as an Appointed Person-Lifting, writing lift plans for lifting loads with cranes. I started out of school ,with no qualifications, as a rigger and have worked my way up to the top of my game. Your method of forming the triangle really is the simplest way of remembering the equation. Thank you!

    This has been really helpful! I've got dyspraxia, so trying to learn equations like these in the classroom is already a real chore. Combine that with a noisy class, and it's near impossible. But just watching these videos has made it almost too easy!

    Thanks for this video it helped a lot! Now I am able to identify the hypotenuse, adjacent and opposite correctly without making any silly mistakes and I will remember to only round my numbers during my final steps! 😊❤

    Please could I request that you make a video on questions that are applicable to maths and physics by which I mean exam style questions (easy and hard) on acceleration(initial velocity and final velocity) and also questions that involve acceleration velocity(final and initial) and distance aswell. It would be really helpful to me as I am struggling at the moment

      Because you’re not finding the hypotenuse (longest side) you only add using Pythagoras when your finding the hypotenuse,he was finding a shorter Side that’s why he subtracted!!

    21:59 can you for the AD length do pythagoras so 7 squared x 6.34415 squared and square root the whole thing
    i know its longer but i am more used to pythagoras

      Yes you can do 7 squared +6.34415 squared then square root to find AD

    At 7:45 you say tan(36) is .7265 whereas my calculator says it’s 7.7504. Am I misunderstanding?

      tan(35) is 0.7265
      so you may have inputed the value wrong

    I am a bit confused by the one before last. Why can't I use Pythagoras as 7^ + 12^ = c^ and then find the square root to get the length of AC?

      I’m think is because in the triangle on the right there is no degree (not including right angle) but I’m not sure so take this as you may

      Because the whole triangle ABC is not a right angled triangle,Pythagoras only works for right angled triangles

    Hi! For the question at 22:54, the answer I got is 12.72cm and the correct answer is 13.1cm as shown in the video - so since there isn't much difference between my answer and the correct one, I was wondering if my answer will still be marked right or do I need to get the exact, accurate answer to get full marks? Please reply x

      Make sure you aren’t rounding numbers before the finals steps, you would lose answer marks but would pick up method/process marks 😁🙏🏼

    Hi, I have a question. I put 'sin(60)x32' into my calculator and it came out with '-9.75.....' does anyone know where I went wrong? Because the answer was supposed to be 27.7 😑 then I did 20/cos(35) and it came out with 20.177. Please help!!
