Certainly big difference! One tip: when putting any kind of paper on a wall where there are sockets just loosen it from wall, not removing it, then cut 4 diagonal slits,.push the 4 triangular "corners" into the space - snip shorter if necessary - then push socket back & retighten screws. This is what professional decorators do because it gives much neater finish & avoids the risk of cutting your paper too short around the socket which would show as a little gap ...& an obvious error! Do the same in every room ..around wall switches as well
    of course.

That’s a HUGE change for £100 - and will give you a calm & tidy place to chill in especially when you’ve had a nightmare day with the renovations - somewhere to escape to is a ‘must’. My friends lived in a caravan in their garden for 6 months (which turned into 1 year 3 months) getting their house ready - but although they had a freezing cold few months the first winter 🥶 it was still good to ‘get away’ from the chaos. Can’t wait to see the new huge kitchen & extension - going to look fab I am sure ❤️

Really enjoyed this mini makeover video Freya we have recently painted our kitchen units in Farrow & Ball’s Elephants Breath it has totally transformed the whole kitchen. We did the exact same as Tom and yourself nothing had been touched in our current terraced property for 44 years but it had been a well looked after house and we have nearly got it to how we want it ,as you well know it takes a lot of blood sweat and tears but you will get there with Tom being a builder and with your fantastic interior design qualities your home will be amazing . Take care stay safe ❤️❤️🎄

Very good budget saving, if only it took the same time as the video to air it would be marvellous. As a matterofpersonalchoice, and I know the whle process is temporary, when you covered the worktops with the vinyl covering perhaps you could of overlapped it a little onto the wall so when you covered the tiles the finished result would look much smoother instead of cutting in the crease. Also where you put the pancake and cookie recipes you couldof put them on the wall to cover over the small holes. But from afar the whole place looks fabulous.

You're the only one I've seen who doesn't take all the doors & drawer fronts off too paint them - that's what's put me off painting the kitchen cabinets. Thanks for proving all that extra work is NOT necessary.
I do think there's a bit too much of a marble look everywhere & that just the counters would have been enough, but you wanted to cover your tiles so I get it (but could have done without it).
    Overwise, fantastic makeover!!

Grotty and Tatty to just Amazing and for just 100GB. I can hardly believe what a transformation it has made. Just a simple colour palette makes all the difference. They had a massive selection you could spend a whole day there.
They only allow some people to pick and choose as they are really exporting mostly. but They also do events , thrift factory £10 per kilo
You need a strong back to go through the clothes as mostly in cages and trollies.
But it was worth it as many where Brand new with Tags.

It does certainly look a lot better but when it says on a £100 budget but then it turns out it was nearer £200 that's not such a little difference, that is double the cost! You could argue that for £200 it's still a cheaper alternative but I think you need to make your titles more honest if you're after credibility. The cabinets looked really smart after the paint job and it looks like it was a big job so well done for all the hard work. I envy you the pantry! Those things are so valuable for space and storage, lucky girl.

Wow wow wow! Amazing. What a difference.
I live in rented accommodation and I am on a very tight budget.
I hate my kitchen. It is very small and I don't have enough cupboard space. Any way, I'm going to try this. I'm going shopping right now. Bernadette (I'm using my son's account)

Well done Freya! I can see how much effort it took, but it was so worth it🤗 You can now enjoy it until the big kitchen project starts ☺️☕

no need to do anything else, it looks great and it’s only short term. you did a great job. p.s. do you still recommend the cushions you got from ikea, i’m looking to replace my living room ones and wondered if you are still of the same opinion and are happy with yours and their still karate chopping ok lol

Yes I do! I have kept our old ones in which I need to remove but think the best way in our cushion cover size is to have two of each ikea pillow in each cover!

Wow Freya - that turned out amazing. Can I ask, did the tile paint actually work? Can’t wait to see the next house vlog 👍❤️💖

    • @FreyaFarrington
      @FreyaFarrington  3 ปีที่แล้ว

the tile paint was fine it was the grout, so painting the tiles white would have been easier then maybe gone with a colour on the cabinets
