After watching enough Chess Simp vids, you'll know that most challenges involving the enemy queen, Simp won't capture the queen because that makes the challenge too easy afterwards. I think the exception is if the queen has a Medusa effect. Then getting a knight to capture it is still a good challenge video
The way I interpreted this was completely different. Since Simp added the (not pawns) clarification, would he have to move his knights closer to the opponents queen every turn until they get captured or the game ends?
I thought blocking the check was a fail, but it isn't. The bishop did not have a chance to move as you cannot do any move that will leave your king in check.
I think its not about beating a computer, but if the game is solved, whatever opening is played there will be already the perfect response. So, at a very high level, the results will be known as soon as the first move happens.
It “stops” her simply because the opponent doesn’t know that. Of course the opponent could blunder it, and they have, but that’s what simp meant when he used the word “stops.”
@@Alresu he moved his bishop farther away form the opponent's queen, breaking the rules, ending the video, and getting everyone to unlike and unsubscribe. Simp is a coward and a cheater.
@@studgerbil9081 But the rules do not state he has to move always closer. They state he has to place a piece next to it if possible. It was not possible here so there is no rule violation.
@@Alresu It was possible, just capture the pawn. Also he uses this logic in other parts of the video like in 01:20. so yeah, I think he should have captured that pawn with the bishop
EDIT: Never mind. The rule is active only if a piece (not pawn) is able to move to a square adjacent to opponent's queen. Though, in that case, why exempt the pawns?
The challenge specifically states that he only needs to move a piece next to the queen when that piece can actually move next to her. 1 or more pieces can move next to the queen => Simp has to move them there 0 pieces can move next to the queen => He's free to move his pieces wherever The challenge does not state that pieces always need to move closer to the queen. I'm pretty sure he did a challenge like that in the past though.
How did Simp find the only 100 rated player who DOESNT move their queen?
Simple, he’s a paid actor
Unpaid actor moment
To be fair he did his best to severely limit and discourage queen movement
Paid actor😊
i love how you acknowledged the common fact that whenever you call a challenge "impossible", most of the time you end up winning
If the comment section spoils the video no matter what, Simp will take the cake here instead

Capturing the queen would obviously be what a coward would do. And Shrimp's not a coward.
That's the biggest problem of many chess players. Too focused on the queen that we often ignore the mate in 1

@danielhoang289
Also, not capturing the queen gives his opponent a chance to blunder their queen over and over, which is endlessly entertaining.

You ended up doing exactly what the challenge wanted, and used it to your advantage, lol. Bravo

Nice to know he's so comfortable in his masculinity that he can wear kilts and skirts.
5:19 its very simple actually: as a lesbian im always thinking of other women
If the opponent opened Qg4, Simp could move the Knight from g1 to h3 instead of having to blunder his queen, and would still be in the rules.

I think you blocking the check at 2:10 made them realize they can block the attack on the queen, but maybe not.
The way I interpreted this was completely different. Since Simp added the (not pawns) clarification, would he have to move his knights closer to the opponents queen every turn until they get captured or the game ends?
It says you have to move next to the queen if possible, not closer to the queen.
@@shapular Thank you I definitely misread that. Makes more sense.
The discovered check into checkmate was poetry
that was a beautiful mate, the king right next to his queen

Thank you Julien Dubois for supporting the channel!
interesting interpretation of the challenge
wouldnt capturing the queen be moving the closest to it as possible?
No, because it no longer exists
Sounds like what a coward would do.
And what about the next move?
The challenge is not to move closer to the queen. The challenge is that if a piece can move next to the queen it must.
nope, it says "next to" not "as close as possible"
There should be a chess bot that talks exactly like you do. It'd make losing funny.

If your opponent did Qh4 you could do Nh3 instead
True, but as long as the queen doesn't retreat, it will only delay the inevitable.

Chess but the game must end in a knight and bishop checkmate
By the opponent
Never going to happen. The video would be super long, which Simp doesn't like, and the opponent would resigng long before that anyways ...

I don't think the spirit of the challenge would expect him to move a piece that's already next to the queen to a different spot next to the queen.
@@Jetz72 I guess, but that's not how the challenge was worded. And he often interprets stuff very litteraly
