    Is there any reason why one method might be better than the other?

      Hi there, there isn’t much difference between them in this example, but that was because I was using clean data from only two different sources. Power Query would be used if there were lots of different sources and the data needed to be transformed before it could be used e.g. remove empty rows, split text out etc then that could be loaded into the data model to be used in Power Pivot. Hope this helps.
