There is a fire talent that causes your fire blasts to spread all of your fire damage over time abilities to nearby enemies. This means that if you get a very powerful combustion on a target and you can force the talent to proc, your combustion will be on all nearby enemies. I know that i am kind of late but i hope this helps.

Ignite is a damage over time effect that is triggered by your critical strikes. For most of the fight you can safely ignore it and just appreciate the damage it gives. However, while combustion is off cooldown (available for use), you should be watching combustion timer or my big ignite. When you get a large enough ignite number (pyroblast crit) and the other dots are up, smack combustion. Other than that, reapply living bomb once it detonates, use flame orb, spam fireball and use hot streaks.
wrong, Ignite gains an aditional tic at certain points of haste, but you will want haste to 2005 for the extra combustion tic, but it will still benefit Ignite
Im a little confused with what you mean by combustion can be spread? do you mean having ignite on say 10 targets after flamestriking, then using combustion?
Hey Preach I watched the fire mage vids, just got into the LFR, so what do you do if you don't have the stolen time etc for your various sharing of the mighty combustion etc? Second, I know its a little dot, but what about frostfire glyph, to just give that tiny extra punch?
I love fire, when I first started fire was meh, I went to Arcane (amazing DPS..but sooooooooooooo boring), Frost is just...well OP in PvP and questing (never tried in randoms)..go preach!
You have lots of adds up, cast blast wave to get a fire blast proc. Then on your main target you cast a high combustion and use an improved fire blast on it to spread the combustion. + dots. ;-) 100+k on trash and you watch the tank go " holy shit"
i love fire mage but i have few questions which one is more important? crit or haste and why am i only doing 15k dps as a fire mage but my ilvl is like 375 which is basicially full dungeon gear i should be doing atleast 22k so where is the problem? i reforged mastery away and tried to balance haste and crit and i am using right rotation too so where is the problem? can someone please help me?

Honestly mon.... please stop, people will read this.... or maybe you tell us that "certain" point of haste? Or show us blizzards blue posts that announce changes about ignite mechanics? And you can also explain new ignite overlaying mechanics since it would totally change if there is more than 4 ticks.

Good timing. My fire mage just hit 85 on Thursday and I've been farming the HoT 5mans prepping for some LFR runs this week. Can't wait to try it out.

That's only true for living bomb. Pyroblast, ignite and combustion spread to everything in range. There is no limit.
can you do one of these for mists because i want to hear an overview from someone who actually knows what they're talking about
