I used to love healing the last boss of End Time. Everytime i did it id push my self to see how much longer i could make the time inbetween each hour glass. Was so fun.
Healers are the least gear-dependent role in the game, in the sense that as long as the tank/dps are fine you shouldn't have many issues. Geared tanks take less damage, and geared DPS make fights shorter. I think one of my greatest healing achievements was healing Koralon in WotLK on my Holy Priest who was in mostly blues and a few T7 quality epics. No one ever died, always topped effective healing, had some of the least overheals, and always OOM'd right as the fight ended (100% efficiency).
i dont rly have a lvl 85 healer, highest ive been was on my druid were i stopped healing at lvl 80 cuz i didnt totally trust my healing capabilities in cata dungeons altho its been easy up to 80 but again the "jaina fight" i mostly "as a dps" run for the fire things on the ground only to find the healer running there aswell :d but then again sometimes i expect the healer, or the closest to get it, but they rarely move especially if the closest is a dps
my shammy healer has only ever been kicked once, because the tank pulled an ENTIRE large room and i couldnt keep him alive :) Mostly I get massive praise for my shammy healing skills, ta very much Preach. Usually its not the healers that are ungeard its tanks and DPS being understupid.
What UI are you using? I have Quartz, and DBM, what else are you using? I want it so if I click on the tank, that it puts the tanks target in the center, just like Preachers, and MANY other's I have seen.
Don't know if that was a reply to me, but if that was.... If i did use FH, then i would be OOM at about 20 seconds. Fight took almost 5 min. No way i could heal the rest then.
On that Tank death, why no Flash of Light? That was a perfect moment for that. If I had to give healers advice... it's "BE MORE AGGRESSIVE!!" That's the #1 thing I took away from my Healer officer during my time in a top 10 US guild. Do whatever the fuck you have to do to keep someone alive. Use your mana, use Flash Heals, use CD's. We're conditioned to save CD's and to try to not use the fast, expensive heals but you HAVE to if you want people to NEVER die in your presence.
ehm.... as a healer, you are very, very dependant on the gear of others. If you are undergeared as you said, and have it easy, then the gear of the others is good enough to leave it easy for you. As a priest, i once had to heal a 340 in a 346+ instance. I kept him up at the first boss, but he died at then end, cause i was out of mana. He was hit like a truck and i had to spam heal him and the others as well. That was hard.
The groups before last boss ignore all armour on their special attacks, if you don't cc those groups, tank/healer HAS to pop cds or its really hard to heal through even fully geared. So an ignorant tank who runs in there and doesn't use anything will of course blame the healer.
Sending this to my healer buddies that get scared about healing 'difficult' stuff in the game because of their gear score. Great vid
Ive been w8ing for this vid for like 10 min and it just popped up :D. great vid man :D

it counts items in your bag as well so he probably had high level gear in his bags in order for him to get in but still heal with bad equipped items
You are very skilled, know your stuff, and NEEEEED more views. You deserve more Preach, keep up the good work!

Preach, what addons do you use to get your UI?
Im just wondering, but how did you get in to the dungeon if you didn't have the item level required?
Yay, new Preach video!

Tank probably died cos he wasnt interrupting the caster mobs which do a ton of damage
sweet new preach video! :)

The only thing im kinda bothered with is you are using a Paladin to set the example. Try doing this with a Holy Priest for example.
