I’ve watched a few of these new V3 battle reports now, it deffo looks like the new spam is mortars and indirect fire weapons, I don’t think theres been a huge change to the game, Tanks are very much still a waste of points (even if they are cheaper), the infantry have become static, it does seam there are less kills and the old adage of pin to win is no more, I’m really not convinced at all. I think the cover save rule will appeal to 40K players? But the game hasn’t changed that much, it’s a shame they’ve missed a real opportunity. A great report, very informative and great enthusiasm from the narrator, well done guys
4:08 What a Tasty Buffet of all the Tasty German Units. Love that Soft Skined dies now on a 6 but that they can use the Recce Platoon Rules, and it also Naturally Buffs the Hanomags and Armored Transports!
I'm saying that cover save on the sherman vs the double pen from the 88 was false. The front of the tank was easily out of the forest. I wanted to see an explosion!
@scholaprogenium7276 I suppose if that's how the rules are written I can't argue. I just don't like the back side of a tank giving the front side cover from a front hit.
@@williamrthompsonjr556 Good question! In this situation it's one save and the damage is all or nothing, I guess you either hit a tree stump, or the tank takes the hit and then the damage commences.
I think going Down nullifies Defensive Position when assaulted in v3, so the lone grenadier wouldn't have had the first strike. Didn't affect the outcome in this case, though.

Loving the flexibility of V3. Thanks for another entertaining game
Well played, gentlemen.
I've got my v3 rulebook on order.
Very much looking forward to it.
Thanks! I'm excited for everyone to get their books and see the complete game and how it all ties together.

Since it was a double penetration, shouldn't have it been a double save? Assuming it was a single penetration that did separate damage internally.

One rule question, I thought that an officer/platoon commander could only snap to the units in their own platoon. Is that not the case?
Nope! :)
