Very enjoyable match up. One thing I spotted was that when the Panzer 4 shot the Hellcat it's worth remembering that a roll of 1 ALWAYS fails to penetrate even if the PEN value of the weapon means it would normally do damage, so with the +6 of the Heavy AT gun against the 7 armour of the Hellcat a roll of 1 would not "Glance".
Great game! The Pak40 however can't be pushed around by the crew as it is a Heavy AT gun, also you crossed the stone fence with it which you can't do with any Artillery Unit
Great video, love the morale checks almost missed. One small thing, shaped charge 1:04:00, my understanding is that the Bazooka fire was still long ranged. Shaped charge does not affect hit, so should be a +1 hit modifier for long range, i.e. if over 12 inches, should have been a 5, not a 4, admittedly a 6 was rolled. The shaped charge modifier as i understand is for penetration only, i.e. as they are long range they do not take the -1 modifier regarding penetration and penetrate at standard roles, please correct me if i'm wrong.
@@amaelrodrigues4076 Can you be more specific? Errata? While a BAR isn't explicitly listed for the US army HQ, doesn't mean you can't do it. The German HQ also doesn't list the Gewehr 43. Does that mean it is off limits?
@thomaschase7097 The BAR in game rules is an automatic rifle, the STG in the rules is a assault rifles. The german hq specifically lists assault rifle as a model option, the us hq does not list an automatic rifle as an option. The Gewher 43 in rules terms is classed as a rifle, which is specifically named as an option.
@@amaelrodrigues4076 The G43 is a "Semi-Auto" rifle and not just a rifle, as in bolt action. Semi-Auto rifles reroll ones. BAR is an assault rifle as much as the STG44 or FG42. The STG44, FG42, and the BAR could all shoot Semi-Auto or Automatic due to a select fire feature. What makes the BAR any different than the other two?
Yeah, the batteries were on the way out - unfortunately we didn't realise at the time and only after uploading the footage do we know that. It was a good game so rather than bin it - we out it out.

Amazing looking terrain and set up! Perfect timing for an evening tea and wargaming entertainment!
Enjoy!
Thanks guys for the battle report!! Appreciate the video. Bolt action game coming out !.
Our pleasure!
I really enjoyed playing this game. I like bringing new units/vehicles into play.
Always good to mix things up.

I NEVER realised this - thank you. No-one ever pointed that out, and you are absolutely right.
Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure!
Wheeled vehicles aren't required to move before turning. Pg 103 states they get two 90° pivots at any point during the move.
Very enjoyable game, thanks guys :)
Glad you liked it, thanks.

Indeed. Hit chance is unaffected.
Good game guys
Thanks.
Great game
Thanks.
Nothing stops the Americans from having BAR men with the officers.
Except that the army book does not allow them to take a BAR with officers.

@thomaschase7097 Also, historically speaking, no US officer ever used a BAR. German officers did use the STG.
