Installation tip: Upon initial pairing with the installed Spektrum Bluetooth module, the application will update the transmitter firmware which enables the transmitter to receive telemetry data from the onboard telemetry receiver or telemetry module. You have changed some settings, the avc as soon as I turn off does not turn off and remains always working, and the wheels do not turn, I have to keep all the avc on to make them turn ... Help me!

Well I'm getting pissed at spektrum. I've been waiting 2 months for the Android update they say is coming. If I knew it didn't work, I would have waited to spend the money.

great explanation I bought 3 of these set up's so I dont have to instal the mods on to my 3 remotes and they will be all set for each rc boats and cars.

Cool thing! Thinking of getting it. Not that pricey either. Just one though - the font in the app looks like the one in the menus on my chinese Creality 3D-printer - and it even looks tacky there :P A font without serifs would look that much better. Like the one in the setup menus for example.
Great info, thanks. When you first set up telemetry you said you had 6s with a good charge, yet on the transmitter the 2nd light up is blinking indicating your battery would be on the low end of charge status. Which is correct and why the difference? Thanks

Great video I am going to get this module for my DX3 smart controler. Abut the wheel rocker I got this same remote from the Losi Tenacity TT Pro but it doesn't have the rocker. Is that an add-on part? Thanks
You say it can control lights , but what do you mean ? Will one have control turning lights on or off ? People want that feature. Great Video

I am having the same problem. I cannot locate the dashboard app the android phone.
I'm assuming this isn't available yet since Horizon Hobby has it as backordered and people are saying the app isn't even available.

Can you bind more than one phone to the telemtry? ie. if my son uses my remote with the telemetry can he use his phone, then when Im using it it will auto switch to mine (providing they have both been binded to it of course)? Or is it only able to bind with one phone at a time? What if both phones are present near the remote when its on?
It will only bind/connect to one phone at a time. You will need to repeat the pairing process if changing between the 2
Do you have any further directions on installing this TM1500 telemetry module on a Losi 22s drag car? Do you still need external sensors for rpm and temp? Could it possibly obtain that data from the ESC?

Downloaded the Spektrum Dashboard app recently and it does not have the “Aux Point Mode” section as shown in this video. Reason why I’m asking is the video states lights could be controlled which is what I’d like to do with my newly purchased DBXL-E 2.0 buggy. Can I control the light-bar using the A/B switch on the DX3 transmitter and this app. Spektrum Dashboard app version 9.3 from the Apple App Store. Any help will be appreciated.

What is the model memory of the dx3? Is it just one or does the Bluetooth and dashboard allow for more models?
I am thinking about getting the tyhon grom, can i bind the dx3 with the stock esc or do i need to upgrade it? Ultimately i want to use spektrum telemetry with it after doing a motor / esc upgrade. I assume i can use spektrum firma electronics and the bt2000 chip in my dx3 to use all the telemetry with it. any information you have is appreciated. thanks

Hi I have the DX2E active and my TX don't turn on after installing the wifi module SPM6741 only the module light flashes what can I do to fix it? I laso have the DX3 but the wifi module BT2000 and the phone mount is out of stock I am worried that the same situation could happen any help will be appreciated.
Interesting to see these old apps Spektrum had. Too bad they never kept it up to date.
The current draw display seems to only allow you to set a max of 10A. This doesn’t seem right since the SMART ESC I’m using is 160A continuous with a peak over 1000A. Am I misunderstanding what this is supposed to be showing?
I wish this was available when I wasted $600 on my Dx6r. I still can't believe Spektrum doesn't offer a system that offers telemetry and Avc at the same time.
The SR6100AT SR6110AT and SR6200A all offer AVC and Telemetry at the same time. the 6200A via Smart ESC and the other 2 have full telemetry support with sensor ports and xbus expansion slots.
Wil the Infraction work with this Bluetooth module? Out of the box? I have the Spectrum smart lipos. Just need to know if I need to upgrade my RX or ESC to get all this telemetry? Thanks!
It depends on which model of the Infraction. If it is the 6S version then yes it will work. Hope that helps!
Hi there, in the channel setup, does link connect channels? ie you could link TH to an AUX to run sense ESS sound module on the AUX channel?
No, link essentially makes it so if you adjust one endpoint(such as right or left on steering) then it equally adjusts the opposite end point.
Read my manual front to back. Didn’t see a area that mentioned rollout or poll count. I have the arrma vorteks.
Kindly can it change the speeds of the throttle and the steering?

How did it give you mph without the motor in the car nor in motion? Wouldn’t gearing and tire diameter affect mph?
That's the same thing I was asking what happens when I change my prop size on my boat in that going to affect the speed I figured it would use some kind of GPS deal not just going off the RPM and they poll count of your motor you change your tire size you change your gearing I mean it's all out of whack I would think
How many RCs can you use with this module?
So I’ve got a Typhon 6S 2021 model if that matters. It’s got the lesser controller can’t think of the number off the top of my head. Wanna say “slt” something but on the box it advertises smart transmitter and the dashboard app. But I guess needed the DX3 controller to use the app. So I just picked up a losi lasernut which did come with the DX3 controller. So I ordered the module you’re installing here. Still waiting on that but after I saw some bad reviews I thought I better get educated on how it works exactly. Sorry off track. Can I bind the DX3 controller with both the lasernut and typhon. I’d obviously use them separately and never run them at the same time (these are 2 of my most expensive cars I don’t let anyone else use these guys) sorry I took the long way around. I appreciate this video very much.
You can bind it too both BUT the settings might not be correct for both. IE the reversing and trim positions may be different between the 2. So just make sure when you go from one to the other you remember or take note on what those settings were so you are not left guessing what the settings were. Hope that helps!

Can you share a Bluetooth module between multiple radios? So can I set up my end points and throttle limiters on a DX2E then take out the Bluetooth module and plug it into my DX3 and set it up and have them both save the settings? Also did you show how to set up AVC for throttle independent of steering?
Hi Greg, the modules for the DX3 Smart and DX2e Active are completely different hardware. Also, with the current firmware, there is no ability to tune them separately, that is one of the perks of upgrading to a DX5C or better ;)

Each reading needs a too end display. When im driving i cant be looking at the amps for example, so when i stop. Id like to the what the max amps was. The app only does it for speed.

The Sonicwake V2 comes with a SLT3 transmitter which is NOT compatible with the Dashboard app and accessories. My best suggestion, if you want telemetry data, is to upgrade your transmitter to something like a DX5C Smart. Hope that helps!
Why is the Apple App Store telling me the dashboard app isn’t available in my region?
People with iPhones were smashing up their cars because of a bug in the app. The cars would take on a mind of their own and do a runaway. Spektrum pulled the app. Android was working fine though.

When is it going on sale?
So this is going off of your RPM and the poll count on your motor to determine the speed of your vehicle. What happens when you change tire sizes, gearing, or in my case I'll be running a boat and change the prop size and pitch⁹ that won't be accurate will it? And if so how? Please explain.
In combination with "roll-out" which is the value that takes into account gearing and tire size, then it will be fairly accurate. That said, at this point the only way to get speed on a boat is to use some sort of GPS meter or sensor.
I was informed I could find the radio serial number for registration of the DX3- BUT HOW AND WHERE??

It's surprising that spektrum has done something useful with this. It's a shame traxxas cannot adapt a mobile phone holder for a very fast model like the X-o1 and xmaxx. Well done spektrum.

hi, appreciate the video, very well explained. I actually was able to set it up but after couple of minutes the app asked if I wanted to update to v1.5, it never finished the upgrade and now every time i try to link to the bt2000 the application crashes. any idea how to resolve?

Hello friend, I have a radio dx3 and in my arrma infraction 6s I will have moved some settings with the bluethoot module in the app, the problem is that when I detach the avc does not turn off and the wheels no longer turn, instead when I reactivate the avc is always active and the wheels instead turn, I can not detach the avc yes and mixed with the servo, Please help me.

I’m having an issue. My DX3 transmitter (remote control) never shows the battery level on the little green dot section. I bought a brand new Kraton 6s EXB. Straight out of the box the transmitter is not showing the battery level.
So… I decided to buy the BT2000 and see if that would help. And also all the extra changes I can make from the app of course.
I put in the BT2000 and successfully paired it to the app… but still not showing any info on my kraton, my battery voltage… nothing.
Is this a problem with my transmitter? Or the receiver in the car? Please help!
I even bought the Spektrum Smart ESC Programmer V2 to make sure my firmware was up-to-date and everything. That shouldn’t play any role considering we’re talking about the receiver and transmitter… but I’ve tried everything that I can personally do to try and fix the problem.

Where do you find the app for Android
my arrma felony dx3 controller stopped working after installing the Bt2000. it asked to update the firmware from 1.4 to 1.5 and now the car hasn’t worked since with the Bt2000 or with out it. the power light is slow blinking orange. I've seen other reviews where the same thing happened to them. Has anyone found a solution to this?

Can you use this with a Capra 4ws ? I have recently bought the BT2000, fitted it but the rpm and speed dont work , any ideas ?
Hi Tibor, yes you can use it with the Capra 4WS and the Dashboard app will help you setup the AUX channel more easily. Unfortunately the brushed Smart ESCs do not support RPM or Speed telemetry.

Nope, it works with individual sensors and our GPS Sensors :)
It's such bullshit, doesn't work with the Radio nor the receiver either.

Dose the bt2000 work with a Hobbywing esc and motor or only Spektrum esc motor combo
If your receiver is reporting telemetry, be it from individual sensors or integrated from a Smart ESC, it will be able to be displayed on the Dashboard app. That said, the Hobbywing escs to not inherently report any telemetry and you will need separate sensors for telemetry.

Got the Losi SBR2.0 , disappointed to see I cannot configure the stability control from the APP like I can with the Traxxas setup ?
Stability control is all done with the rate knob at this time.

I mean the truck comes with zero in depth instructions about the radio gear to be honest, I probably know half of what this gear is capable of, I concede I may have missed something in the small writing with my old eyes :D ?? looking at it today it seems AVC is written in small letters above ST RATE....when I tried the ST Rate first time I drove it , it just seemed to limit maximum steering lock?
