You’ve taken me back over forty years. I can feel the excitement just watching you. You are a very good pilot Ben, one of the best ppl’s I’ve watched in fact. I’m looking forward to following your journey.
Well here begins the journey, Ben. Really looking forward to following your progress. All the very best!! At almost 60 I can’t offer any advice on real world flying. What I would say is this having be a trainer and service provider for many years: Always be yourself. Always default to what you know you do best and you know works. Never deviate to try to impress or be someone you are not. Good luck!!!
Good on you Ben. I have both ATPL(H) and (A) and really enjoy your videos. It still sends a shiver down my spine when I think of the initial IR but the DA42 will make life a little bit easier. No mixture or prop controls to add to the fun!
Ben wishing you every success in your next phase of your flying career. Be very proud, as you said, you have funded all you previous flying yourself, that young man is some achievement. I look forward to following your journey on getting your CPL. The world of Commercial Pilots need people like you, Dedicate and Professional. ✈️
Ben, I have enjoyed your videos, particularly the recent posts documenting your commercial training. Can I ask why you chose a school so far away when there are others much closer such as Liverpool. I am about to do the same and as I currently fly out of Barton, Liverpool is the obvious choice. Thanks Marcus
I was directed here by Aeros after a visit a few weeks back. I will be jumping on the fast track cpl early next year hopefully. Just awaiting confirmation on booking my class 1 medical. A little daunting given i am a complete novice! Hoping ill pick things up as i should. Looking forward to obtaining everything i need to start revising etc when i enroll! Onwards & Upwards
Very many congratulations on making it this far - I made half my PPL then couldn't maintain funding, so I understand what you've had to commit to reach this. I've flown with Aeros, great training company - enjoy every minute!
from across the pond, USA, Yolanda and I are so proud of you, Ben. You have a goal and you're willing to work hard to achieve it. We are looking to take a trip/cruise to the UK in a year or two, and we look forward to meeting, "Captain Ben". Blue Skies, and God Bless!
Great video. I'm just starting to save to start my PPL i want to go all the way up and do my ATPL but i also work full time. but hopefully i will reach my dream. safe flying
Congratulations on your decision to go get a commercial rating. You are going to be busy but hopefully we can go along with the training. You'll never regret this. I flew corporate & now just the fun stuff. I' m an old pelican. Your still young. Take advantage of it. Thanks again Ben.
I’ve just started my pilot training (I’m 14) and I’m hoping to become a fighter pilot at 17.5 then commercial at 21 but start training earlier. (I fly a PA28 Warrior)
Many happy hours flying TEBZ. It is a real shame it is now based at Coventry due to Aeros Wellesbourne's closure. A great aircraft to fly and also a great IFR platform as well, especially with the Aspen. Very best of luck with your training. Adam.
Good luck Ben. I'm sure you'll make it all the way into a 'liner (if thats what you want). Keep up the videos please so we can all share you progress vicariously?
Wishing you all the luck, Ben. I keep making excuses why I've never pursued a flying career/hobby, when really, the stumbling factor is myself. I think I'll work to get my Diabetic control perfected then pursue an NPPL in the near future. Not quite the same as ATPL but if I'm in the air, I'll be happy.
Thanks for the intro to Aeros Flight Training Ben. How is your training going? I was looking for a modular APTL and was interested in L3, but Coventry is not too far from me so might be easier to commute there. One question, do Aeros offer much help with finding employment after completing training? Obviously the goal is getting an airline job so that would be great
Well, all I can think of is to just get a part time job. It’ll be easier when you leave secondary school however if you know a shop owner or small business owner you can always ask them for a job. The pay won’t be great and I’d recommend saving ALL of it.
@@harrytibbs6313 are you meaning me? Left school 10 years ago lol and even if I saved from then I wouldn't hve the money because of other stuff I've had to pay
I need some advice. I would like to become a commercial pilot but I am not sure what I have to do and I need to know how much it will be. Can anyone help? It would be really helpful if someone can help. Thanks.
Hi mate your 15 im 13 i want to become a airline pilot just like you. I would like to know what you do at the age of 15 to achieve your goal. Thank you ill be waiting foe your answer
These ATPL exams. I take it that means all of the ground school theory for CPL IR then ATPL? Did you do these separately or take one mega theory ATPL course encompassing all of these? Also, what actual flying rating do you hold right now, such as PPL, night rating etc. Just curious:-) Great videos by the way:-)
Good luck Ben, but with your journey so far I don't think you need much luck, your hard work and dedication will see you through. I will follow this part of your journey with as much interest as I have done so far. Are you looking to go to the airlines or have you considered corporate flying?
Well done Ben My mate (777 Captain Air New Zealand) his 23 yearly son (all his NZ training PPL/CPL/IR was funded by a NZ Govt student loan scheme, which he has to pay back over the next few years) he has just passed all his NZ ATPL exams,He went up to Vanuatu (3 hours in a 737 north of NZ) with about 200hrs 2 1/2 years ago started on a Cessna 207 then a BN2 Islander now on a PA31-350 Chieftain now has 1500hrs in his logbook. He did an interview with ANZ a few months ago but was lacking night flying hours they told him so go back to Vanuatu and since converting onto the Chieftain he has been doing a lot of night flying to meet that requirement, The Airline are looking for ATR F/Os so he is just waiting for the call up. Good luck with your flying training I understand that with self funding it will be a juggling act, a lot of NZ pilots would never make it without the student loan scheme. Brian
I have flown there every other weekend for the last 8 months, so I’m not entirely sure why you’ve struggled as they managed to find me and other friends slots no problem. Maybe give them a call and try book some weekends further in advance?
Maybe it is a unique issue to Doncaster? @@PlaneOldBen, although have heard from others at other locations they're at too. Have spoken with them but just always M-F only. Have offered to lay down fees in advance and commit to weekends for the next 3 months (weather permitting), no dice - which is a shame.
Nice one, just started training for my ppl now. Once you’ve completed this will you have a CPL or a frozen atp? Might sound stupid but I’m just a bit confused
There really is no point in doing the traditional IR nowadays. Since you have ATPL exams all done, you'll be able to get an IR via the CBIR route much more quickly once you've done the MEP as you can credit prior instruction and PiC time if you have an IR(r) currently.
Hey Ben!! I’m looking forward towards being a commercial pilot one day, I have many curious questions, like from Scratch to where you’re at the moment, can I leave my questions here or via email ?😀😀
Good for you! I started the Aeros fastrack back in March in their Cardiff base, brilliant company and they really do care and tailor it to you! Good luck, I’ve got some hour building to get on with
Best of success However, based upon your past achievements, I'm guessing the hardest part of this stage of your career will be the commute from Blackpool to Coventry
Nice one mate. Looking forward to hearing you over the tannoy on a commercial flight some day soon.
Aha thanks mate!

Ben when is the Manchester airport video coming??
All the best ben, I actually had my first hour logged today for my PPL!!

Where are you located and How much is the fees?

Do they ask physics for cpl
