@russianbear0027 if you want to find a good lawyer you have to look at reviews on various sites and talk to a couple of them before committing to paying so you know they are legit. Most good lawyers rely on word of mouth instead of ads so if you hear a lot of good things about one out of people's mouths in person then maybe it's okay. But most of this big Advertisement having simple number lawyers rely on people who are too desperate to find a better lawyer. THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU! Get someone reputable and local!

Jlab airpop from best buy for 30 bucks. Load up the charging/holding pack with power once and it lasts forever, like 3-5 days worth of hours not just on their own but putting back inside the thing. Not sure how the sound is in comparison to anything pricier, but i compare to oldschool skull candy, and for such a good price for wireless worth any trade ofd. Fall out easy though
Jlabs are decent. I try to look for sales just so I can get a higher quality product for a cheaper price because brain but if I do have to go with an actually budget product those would be one of the brands I'd recommend.

They prioritise sound quality over everything which is what I like. Especially since they don’t even have a cable it’s attached to the case

They tried to sponsor my channel. They sent them out and I was shocked by how poor they were. You could tell they were just rebranded trash from Alibaba. I am actually shocked that so many TH-camrs were promoting them. I would feel awful if one of my subs bought them on my recommendation
That's the thing. I have absolutely no problem when TH-cam channels accept sponsorships. But I feel they have to be careful about what sponsorships they accept, and how wholeheartedly they endorse them. If a TH-camr honestly believes some product is the best thing out there since sliced bread and wants to spread the word, then great. But if they're just shilling some rubbish they don't really understand and don't use (except when they're paid for it), then that really hurts that TH-camr's brand, IMO. If they really need the money from the sponsorship, just including the advert without any personal endorsement is a fair compromise, IMO, but many sponsorships insist that their ad sound like a personal endorsement (which is a clue to me that the product is probably garbage).
To be honest, all these ads for the Raycons almost convinced me to buy them. And you, good sir, saved me a lot of money. You literally convinced me to buy the other wireless ones without even TRYING to. Gotta respect the hustle
All of the ads convinced me to not even think about buying them. Whenever something has ton of sponsorships and all of them are basically the same copyapsted template it sounds sketchy as fuck.
For years I was buying Vmoda Faze earbuds off amazon because you could nab em for 20 bucks and they were leagues better than Skullcandy (back when those were all the rage) so i'm sad those stopped existing. I did get a pair of their full-on headsets some years later and while they were relatively expensive, they're still serving me well years later. I don't know if Vmoda still counts as the cheaper brand these days but they sure as shit were when I first discovered them
Not to mention every video praising the “sturdiness” of the earbuds never do anything to the earbuds without the case... It’s almost like the earbuds themselves are cheap crap and it’s the case that’s sturdy 🤔
@deez nuts actually, these headphones are crap. I bought them for a friend and I tried them. They are like regular earbuds with wires you can buy at Walmart. The only reason these get good reviews is because they hype bass and no one knows what a well mixed song anymore.
as a raycon user, my biggest fucking complaint is actually how small it is. its listed as one of the positives but its actually hell in disguise. i lose them around my room all the damn time and its so irritating. in fact, its 1:40am for me right now and i’ve spent all this time digging around my room trying to find them to no avail. i just know they’re gonna be in some stupid ass place i have no recollection of putting them.
Really wish I'd seen this vid before buying my RayCons (granted, I bought their "gaming buds" not the original ones, but still) but it's a lesson for the future, if nothing else, so thanks for this!
My friend/coworker has a pair of RayCons and they’re missing the RayCon logo from the centre. Like, the plastic piece fell out and you can see the little board on the inside. She hasn’t even had them for that long, and from what she told me when I asked, it just kinda happened.
A good rule of thumb is that whenever you see a company promote a product so hard to the point of annoyance, it's likely said product is full of shit the company behind the product spent more time on marketing instead of making something good
I'd say an exception to this is VPNs. They sponsor soooo many TH-camrs but they're generally quite good, just gotta go for one that doesn't retain data.

Most mid-level and high traffic websites already encrypt data in transit using TLS because Google penalizes them for not doing so. However every VPN vendor markets their product by making it seem like your activity is completely visible without one.

You can have a great product but if the market is over saturated people will stick with a brand that works rather than try something new. Good marketing is needed for any capitalist organization to thrive regardless of the product, but generally you as a consumer should never take any advertisement at face value. If something sounds too good to be true it almost definitely is. The quality of the product is only important for customer retention and satisfaction from a business perspective.
A bit sad that many content creators I enjoy promote these but at the same time I guess I can also be happy now that I know they're taking money from a shitty company. Just wish they didn't have to do advertisements that might actually get people to buy em.

I was looking for cheaper buds so I don't take my Bose everywhere and I remembered TH-camrs mentioning how affordable and good Raycons were. So I went to check them out and then saw how expensive they are! It would be a similar price to just buying another pair of Bose refurbished. I'm glad I passed over them!
I almost bought racoon earbuds a year ago in the heat of hype and deals, but opted with the airpod pros as the store I went to did price matching and got to save 80 dollars on them. After watching this video, I think it's safe to say I probably made the right decision, especially since raycon has seem to just dip of the face of the earth. I haven't heard of them in months and kinda forgotten about them till now

To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

I live in fear that he’s gonna show up at my house tonight and break my skull open with the rock he used to crack open the Raycons. 10/10 experience, would recommend
@@jimbob7463 they are actually great, i have an samsung a5 2017 and the connection is super stable, better than with any bluetooth speaker. I can go through our whole apartment with my phone in the kitchen. Sound is good, aint the best but surely isnt the worst. Refurbished they are like 30 Euro. Its a great deal if you think about all of those "big" brands wanting hundreds for their buds. The only con is that the touch buttons dont really work for me, but the volume control always works since it only needs one tap and seem to have trouble recognizing more than one tap. I am really happy with them. I never ever had them empty even tho i sleep with headphones on so battery life is also great.
I want this guy to reveiw all electronics. He obviously tests them the best. He uses that Ipad as a work surface and continually smashes the back of it and he madea a really good point about the public transit bass loss. We need more heros like this to find out the truth for us!

I mean I don't have anything against advertisement itself, you need advertisement even if your product is good, that's just the way it is. But man, the RanCans literally sponsoring every youtuber under the sun? You just KNOW something is up. And what gets me the most is almost all of them are like "look I ain't no audiophile or anything but these sound REALLY GOOD TRUST ME". No .. no mr. gaming youtuber, I DON'T trust your opinion on how good they sound. Like at all.

Throughout all the sponsors, ads, and this video, I kept thinking maybe they are really fine for the price but they aren't selling well. I just looked these up. Fucking $150??? Who TF came up with that price?? If they were even $50 I would've understood, but FUCKING 150? In conclusion, Raycons is the Raid: Shadow Legends of earbuds. Also, I got the Samsung Galaxy Buds + for literally half the price. And any unsponsored TH-camr will tell you which one's better.

I’m gonna learn how to use my raycons that I bought with honey. Skillshare should be able to help, and after that with square space I’ll make a website on how to do so using either NORD VPN or Express VPN. After that I’ll go to my bathroom and shave with my $5 starter set from dollar shave club. Before a nice day ends I’ll get on my phone and play some Raid Shadow Legends. After my daily raid session is over, I’ll count how much money I have in my ridge wallet. I’ll fall asleep to the nice soothing sounds of whales banging one another on my Raycons.

Fun story : at about 11:42 he goes "Yea that's right you give up !". Maybe 2 seconds before that the main screen from my computer that I was using to watch this video, Dies! So just imagine your screen going completely black and you just hearing: Yea that's right give up!
I bought some Raycons a few months ago and had similar feelings. They *literally* sounded like I was playing music in another room, with my ear pressed up against the wall. Absolute garbage.
In my experience every TH-camr I've seen sponsored by them never actually use them outside of the sponsored segment of the video. The worst part is they all say they are affordable compared to competitors yet Anker makes a whole line of different, true-wireless headphones that are cheaper AND better quality.
@Lassi Kinnunen you can ship stuff from china, but if you're a company, even overseas, you are expected to handle returns and refunds under Australian Consumer Law. So if they say "PrEmIuM SoUnD" and if they don't deliver on that, that is a legitimate reason for a return or exchange. If they don't, there are government bodies you can complain to. (Edit: fixed pronouns)
A friend of mine got a raycon boombox, it lasted for 1 year before it shat itself and died. That was with only moderate use. Meanwhile, ive had a pair of Skullcandy Dimes ($23) that are as old as the boombox and still work. Not to mention they sound better.
I had two pairs of them over the past few years and after less than a year they would already start to break. They would stay connected after I put them back in the case and they would die fast. JBL superior

If you want to hear some pretty amazing buds, check out the JBL Live 300 true wireless. They're my favorite so far and they aren't stupidly expensive. I got mine for $119 Edit: I put they are expensive but meant they aren't.

I was suspicious of raycons the second every single youtuber I knew started advertising them. It's the raid shadow legends effect where I feel like the over advertising is compensating for a lackluster product

There are reasons to not like people who drive BMWs or the company itself, and I am not sure 'over-advertising' is one of them.

Homie, I got wireless headphones (skullcandy), they did not cost me over $100, has an excellent charging/battery life, phenomenal sound quality, treat yourself to a brand more respectable than RayCons.

ProBuds V2. They are $20. Have amazing sound and can literally be found in the Walmart checkout lanes. Would pick these any day over overpriced Airpods or Raycons.
Raycons were my first wireless earbuds ever (I have been using wired headphones my whole life, but finally got sick of the chord around the jack breaking from being bent which cuts off the audio), because i had just graduated, got a job, and turned 18 and was gullible enough to buy them just because of the aggressive advertising. A couple months after I got them, the right earbud got annoyingly quieter than left one and it is the most obnoxious thing in the world. I hear no difference between the different sound modes, and they often refuse to change to them. They also keep disconnecting and cutting out of the bluetooth connection. They keep falling out of my ears and almost landed in the toilet at one point, and I am scared to get another pair of wireless earbuds because this was a terrible introduction to them.
@Cheecho I mean I know people who bought them by putting aside money over multiple paychecks and didn't realize they weren't that great. I mean if your favorite creator who seems to be reliable and trustworthy it makes sense that they trust them

The Raycons look like a TJ-MAXX special - sitting at the front of the store hoping you'll make an impulse buy. The rest of em look like you'd find em in the locked case at a Target.
Those Taotronics have bad quality control on the batteries. Myself and many others have found that the batteries stopped working in a month. It hasn't happened to every pair and so yours might be fine but it's a common enough occurance to mention. Everything else that Dank has said about them is true though. They sound great and they ARE a low price. Its a pity.
I want to see a master list of overpromoted products and services on TH-cam to pair real reviews against sponsorship praises. Just off the top of my head.... Raid Shadow Legends, Raycons, Ridge Wallet, Nord VPN, Manscaped, Ting.....
I'm so happy to hear this. My parents bought me Raycons at one point (because like god bless 'em how are they gonna know any better) and they were legit worse than the first pair of wireless earbuds I bought off amazon for like $30. 1/3 the battery life, worse sound, broke within a month of regular use, and more expensive. It just goes to show: never trust a big marketing budget. The more a company spends on marketing, the less they spend on making an actually decent product.
Buy a Xiaomi Redmi AirBuds 2, it has a great amount of bass, cheap as fuck and it sounds really good, my 10 year old aunt has one, i tested it, and i recommend it. It's available for 80 Brazilian Reals (Something about 30 bucks on the USA?)

I noticed that the sponsored TH-camrs always mention that they "seamlessly pair to your Bluetooth devices." I mean, which half-decent earphones don't? If that's worth a mention, you can see the Raycons aren't competing with the top, but instead are trying to distance themselves from the bargain bin.
yeah! my relatively cheap earphones (about 7-10 usd, i don't remember how much my dad got it for) connect with bluetooth just fine! fancy words can get you far in marketing, i suppose

If they really need the money from the sponsorship, just including the advert without any personal endorsement is a fair compromise, IMO, but many sponsorships insist that their ad sound like a personal endorsement (which is a clue to me that the product is probably garbage).

It's always heartwarming when the cheaper options are superior or at least a good alternative to overpriced options.
For years I was buying Vmoda Faze earbuds off amazon because you could nab em for 20 bucks and they were leagues better than Skullcandy (back when those were all the rage) so i'm sad those stopped existing.
I did get a pair of their full-on headsets some years later and while they were relatively expensive, they're still serving me well years later. I don't know if Vmoda still counts as the cheaper brand these days but they sure as shit were when I first discovered them
The biggest red flag for me was just how expansive their marketing attack was. Sure sign of poor product when 99% of the budget is marketing.

My friend/coworker has a pair of RayCons and they’re missing the RayCon logo from the centre. Like, the plastic piece fell out and you can see the little board on the inside. She hasn’t even had them for that long, and from what she told me when I asked, it just kinda happened.

A good rule of thumb is that whenever you see a company promote a product so hard to the point of annoyance, it's likely said product is full of shit the company behind the product spent more time on marketing instead of making something good
I'd say an exception to this is VPNs. They sponsor soooo many TH-camrs but they're generally quite good, just gotta go for one that doesn't retain data.

You can have a great product but if the market is over saturated people will stick with a brand that works rather than try something new. Good marketing is needed for any capitalist organization to thrive regardless of the product, but generally you as a consumer should never take any advertisement at face value. If something sounds too good to be true it almost definitely is. The quality of the product is only important for customer retention and satisfaction from a business perspective.
A bit sad that many content creators I enjoy promote these but at the same time I guess I can also be happy now that I know they're taking money from a shitty company. Just wish they didn't have to do advertisements that might actually get people to buy em.

I was looking for cheaper buds so I don't take my Bose everywhere and I remembered TH-camrs mentioning how affordable and good Raycons were. So I went to check them out and then saw how expensive they are! It would be a similar price to just buying another pair of Bose refurbished. I'm glad I passed over them!
I almost bought racoon earbuds a year ago in the heat of hype and deals, but opted with the airpod pros as the store I went to did price matching and got to save 80 dollars on them. After watching this video, I think it's safe to say I probably made the right decision, especially since raycon has seem to just dip of the face of the earth. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

I can go through our whole apartment with my phone in the kitchen. Sound is good, aint the best but surely isnt the worst. Refurbished they are like 30 Euro. Its a great deal if you think about all of those "big" brands wanting hundreds for their buds. The only con is that the touch buttons dont really work for me, but the volume control always works since it only needs one tap and seem to have trouble recognizing more than one tap. I am really happy with them. I never ever had them empty even tho i sleep with headphones on so battery life is also great.
I want this guy to reveiw all electronics. He obviously tests them the best. He uses that Ipad as a work surface and continually smashes the back of it and he madea a really good point about the public transit bass loss. We need more heros like this to find out the truth for us!

The worst part is they all say they are affordable compared to competitors yet Anker makes a whole line of different, true-wireless headphones that are cheaper AND better quality.

So if they say "PrEmIuM SoUnD" and if they don't deliver on that, that is a legitimate reason for a return or exchange. If they don't, there are government bodies you can complain to. A friend of mine got a raycon boombox, it lasted for 1 year before it shat itself and died. That was with only moderate use. Meanwhile, ive had a pair of Skullcandy Dimes ($23) that are as old as the boombox and still work. Not to mention they sound better.
I had two pairs of them over the past few years and after less than a year they would already start to break. They would stay connected after I put them back in the case and they would die fast. JBL superior

Homie, I got wireless headphones (skullcandy), they did not cost me over $100, has an excellent charging/battery life, phenomenal sound quality, treat yourself to a brand more respectable than RayCons.

ProBuds V2. They are $20. Have amazing sound and can literally be found in the Walmart checkout lanes. Would pick these any day over overpriced Airpods or Raycons.
Raycons were my first wireless earbuds ever (I have been using wired headphones my whole life, but finally got sick of the chord around the jack breaking from being bent which cuts off the audio), because i had just graduated, got a job, and turned 18 and was gullible enough to buy them just because of the aggressive advertising. A couple months after I got them, the right earbud got annoyingly quieter than left one and it is the most obnoxious thing in the world. I hear no difference between the different sound modes, and they often refuse to change to them. They also keep disconnecting and cutting out of the bluetooth connection. They keep falling out of my ears and almost landed in the toilet at one point, and I am scared to get another pair of wireless earbuds because this was a terrible introduction to them.

Thank you for reviewing these. I was genuinely curious about the quality. I knew they weren't going to beat out any kind of high priced earphones, but I was just curious enough to actually possibly purchase them in the future. Those plans are now canceled. Thank you for showing me what they really sound like.

Those Taotronics have bad quality control on the batteries. Myself and many others have found that the batteries stopped working in a month. It hasn't happened to every pair and so yours might be fine but it's a common enough occurance to mention. Everything else that Dank has said about them is true though. They sound great and they ARE a low price. Its a pity.

Yeah the Raycons I bought also weren’t so cheaply made they were rubber coated and weren’t shiny.
I'm so happy to hear this. My parents bought me Raycons at one point (because like god bless 'em how are they gonna know any better) and they were legit worse than the first pair of wireless earbuds I bought off amazon for like $30. 1/3 the battery life, worse sound, broke within a month of regular use, and more expensive. It just goes to show: never trust a big marketing budget. The more a company spends on marketing, the less they spend on making an actually decent product.

Buy a Xiaomi Redmi AirBuds 2, it has a great amount of bass, cheap as fuck and it sounds really good, my 10 year old aunt has one, i tested it, and i recommend it. It's available for 80 Brazilian Reals (Something about 30 bucks on the USA?)

yeah! my relatively cheap earphones (about 7-10 usd, i don't remember how much my dad got it for) connect with bluetooth just fine! fancy words can get you far in marketing, i suppose
