    I use carnauba wax exclusively on classics whether single stage or clear coat. I am going to give this a try because I like it that an old school company has done something new/updated paste wax. I give the Healy family a lot of credit for still being privately owned and operated. They haven’t sold out and that is very rare and an extremely admirable quality in this day and age. I ordered my 75th Anniversary Edition just a few hours ago. Great price and there was no charge for shipping. You can’t bear that IMO. THANKS 😊

    I busted open this product for the first time earlier this week after it sat in the garage. Just did a quick clay bar before application on a semi dirty car with some detailer. Really not the correct application, but… this stuff a tank of gas later, looks incredible. This went on the daily so it just doesn’t get much in the way of care. Just a wipe down with seal n shine as a detailer or a mix of ONR and adams detailer. It honestly seems to have stuck to the car better than seal and shine does with no preparation. Which is really cool. I think that just has to do with the paste nature making it easier to get into the pores of the paint.
    The silver paint just doesn’t pop easily, and this stuff did a killer job. Even at night I can see the road lines reflected off the hood, car really pops during the day.
    All I did was go around the car and scrub in the paste after a light clay job. Then once the whole car was coated wipe off with microfiber. Anywhere I had trouble getting it off I just sprayed a little seal and shine and wiped off.
    This stuff is really really really good. The durability seems on par with other turtle wax (no comparison to 99% of what’s out there), but the look, the feel on the panel, the reflectivity, wow.
    The only reason I still will coat my favorite/nice cars is the added thickness of a ceramic. Otherwise this just goes on and off way better and looks as good if not better. I also have the graphene liquid wax… but man is this stuff impressive. And it smells really good too!

      It can also go over a ceramic coating just for fun. Although if it’s not as glossy as the actual coating, it’s probably a waste. But I do like that Artdeshine Graphene wax that’s clear.

    • @nicksdragon6929
      @nicksdragon6929 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Eddie V’s Express Mobile DetailingEddie, everyone likes beading because it looks good and they associate it with protection and in a way they're right. Hydrophobicity repels water. One of the main reasons we have Si02 products is to help reduce scratching caused when we dry off paint. How, because a car that isn't coated is unprotected and that means more water clings to the paint and it's the water that holds particulates in suspension or sits on top of contaminants both of which when removed with a drying towel has the potential to drag the debris on the paint, which can cause scratching. When a car is protected by a ceramic like Si02 it can through it's beading action, assist the water in flowing off the surface carrying away the particulates, thus reducing the chance of scratching paint. So that's a good thing or at least it is initially. But if the beading happens after a rain or heavy dew, when a car has a level of dust (minerals) on the paint surface and it is not immediately washed off, well that's when it gets a little more complicated. The longer the water bead (which has the minerals suspended in it) stays on the paint, the water (which is a type of solvent) will do two things; 1) if left on long enough, it will permeate the finish; and 2) it will start to evaporate. As these two events are happening the minerals are etching their way into the paint. Obviously in the sun this process happens at a higher rate and that's when problems arise. So, beading in itself is not bad but if left to its own devices will end up damaging the paint. What we are finding out now is that if water sheets rather than beads, then it has a greater propensity to gather more water together this creating larger masses of water which increases the capability of the water to carry particulates off the car and prevent scratching. So as good as beading is in showing us how well a car's paint is protected, it is actually less effective in moving the water off the car which in turn means the water beads will remain on the paint surface longer allowing more time for evaporation, which means water spots. That's the reason Graphene is getting so much attention (more marketing than reality though) because it allows less heat to be captured in the beads. Surface tension and bsically how thin the product is really makes the heat differential so miniscule that it's reduction of heat in it's surface characteristics is not really noticable enough to prevent water spots. So the things to remember are that beading is good, sheeting is better if it will be awhile before you are able to wash the car. Unfortunately most labs have not been paid to produce sheeting products. Until recently there was no real reason to focus on one vs the other because beading is a naturally occurring side effect with Ceramics and waxes. Since we know that as Detailers we also recognize that most people who have their cars coated are the same ones whose cars are garaged. But with the advent of inexpensive spray coatings, more daily drivers that aren't garaged are becoming beaders and left out in the elements. The last part is that just as Brian prefers sheeting vs beading more people are starting to understand why and product manufactures such as Xtreme Solutions is making an effort to bring a sheeting product to market. Last but not least, the reason we love the new wax is because of course it has great protection but it still needs greater attention to washing when left out in the weather.

    Quite late to the party, but i got hold of a "75 jubi" can ( they had some in stock here in Sweden). However i dont know what i did wrong, it was a pain to get off. I tried less, i tried normal, i tried waiting a bit i tried remove at once and everything in between. I used Meguiars microfiber towels. Pure pain, took me way longer then i thought. And yea i did the full paint prep. wash with iron remover, clay last polish.

    Brian, do you recommend using Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Pro Graphene Infused To The Max Liquid Wax AFTER applying this Turtle Wax 75th Birthday Ceramic/Graphene Paste Wax for extra gloss or you don't think it's necessary? I just bought this Turtle Wax 75th Birthday Ceramic/Graphene Paste Wax and can't wait to try it.

    I have had good luck with this and typically get about four months out of it with a daily driven car stored outside in a variety of weather. The only weakness I have found so far is extreme heat. I wax my car right before a trip somewhere where the temperatures were daily 100° plus with rain and when I came back, it was substantially diminished still there, but noticeable

    • @Theseones

      Most waxes and sealants are fragile in cold or hot weather. If you want durability, coat the car with (real) ceramic coating, then use waxes and sealants as toppers.

    I try different products but keep coming back to Collinite. Others can be more impressive for shine/slickness/ease of application but IME none beat Collinite for “real world” durability.

    Yes still use paste wax, Pinnacle Sovereign. I just find it a better experience putting in the work listening to some great music and then stand back and admire the results. I'm not really bothered if it's not the most hydrophobic or the highest gloss to me it's more about the whole experience.

    Nice work with the video! Which do you think is more durable, this 75th Ann or the Hybrid Pro Grapheme liquid wax? It looks like the liquid wax had better gloss units than the paste. I am planning to top either with the TW Flex spray wax....just wondering which will make for a better foundation (paste or liquid)?

    Just curious Brian - why the preference with micro-applicators? Thx.
    And yes...very much still enjoy paste waxes including Carnuba - especially on the flat red paint on my GTI.

      The only foam that touches painted finishes are foam polish pads.

      @@apexdetail85 is that because you consider foam wax applicator pads to be more abrasive than microfiber pads?

    Would love to know how this compares to the Turtle Wax liquid graphene wax in a 1:1 comparison; in my experience liquid waxes/sealents tend to have less resistance then pastes.

    Great video. How would you use this one in combination with the Hybrid solutions Spary Coating. Should I use the spray coating first and then this one as a topper? Or this one as base and then top it with the HS spray coating? Thanks

    • @Theseones
      @Theseones 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Use the paste wax as a base, then buff off with first towel. Spray on the spray wax/sealant on it and buff off with a second towel. The slickness you'll get will be out of this world!
