- In the season premiere of George to the Rescue heads to Manchester, Massachusetts where the Stratton Family receives the surprise of a lifetime from NASCAR driver, Joey Logano. The Stratton family home is in dire need of help to accommodate for their son, Nicholas, who has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. With this diagnosis and the families everyday struggles, an open living space is at the forefront of this rescue to keep Nicholas safe. With the help of George Oliphant and Nicholas’ favorite NASCAR driver Joey Logano, the Stratton family is surprised with the ultimate renovation that is fun and functional for their unique family.

Watching this episode, I couln't help to keep my eyes on the oldest son. What an incredibly great young man he is. At times it seemed like he fealt lost between all the laughter, yelling and the talk about brother. I just wanted to hug him every time I saw him in a scene. That boy really is one great kid!

Absolutely love this episode. The renovation is beautiful. The best part is Joey being there at the end with his race car and taking Nicholas for a drive, then the whole day at the races with Nicholas in his racing suit is just so wonderful. Truly heartwarming.

Joey is definitely a man of heart! He could have just sent his team and that really would have been awesome! But he came himself. The look on Nicholas face made me cry. He did not have to say thank you it was written all over his face.
I was touched by this rescue, not only did the community come together to help but someone as famous as Joey L. actually got the ball rolling. Really inspirational I was so pleased to see something good come to a deserving family and young boy.
Nick may not be able to talk but his smile and his shining eyes say it all. I hope his parents find out if he has Apraxia. If they find out he does, he needs Speech Therapy to help him talk. I was a nanny to a small boy with Cerebral Palsy, a stroke and Apraxia. He continues with Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech. Several years have passed and he now is beginning to talk. Praise God!
Janet Gray I was born to spastic C.P. Most don't seem to realize there is more than 1 type & less than 4% can have more than one at same time. The disease varies to each of us. I was lucky in that I had mostly to enhanced nerve,skin pain, limb,fingers and slight vocal issue. Had both legs cut at 5. Had to learn to walk again. Although now I lost my ability to walk from other issues. Heridatary spastic palegia can get miss diagnosed as C.P. Because my uncle was.
I have watched about 20 of these episodes back to back and i have cried 50 times... Good People To The Rescue.... I always love the reaction on reveal day
I normally do not care what famous people do. This is obviously an exception, thank you Joey and your foundation, in which you asked for help for the family
The youngest son's reaction to Joey was tear-jerking and priceless.

what a spectacular episode...The little fella didnt have to say anything. Looking at that big smile on his face when Joey Logano lifted him into the racecar..and hearing him say "GO..GO"" well , I lost it ...You just gave this kid, and his family a gift far greater than gold, even greater than that stunning new home.
OK. No, wait, THIS is my favorite episode! Each one better than the last! I burned the HECK out of my right hand 2 months ago & couldn't do anything but sit & wait for the 1st 2 weeks. I don't have a TV, so I just found this series on youtube. Talk about binge watching!! I'm hooked! I'm soooooo happy for these people who get some relief from their problems! More George's (& everyone who volunteers their time) in the world please!

This probably is at least the fourth time I've come to watch this GTTR episode. The intense emotion elicited from good and generous ppl just lifts your spirit when even in the worst of times you see a positive outcome from our fellow citizens.

Love the wallpaper and the color scheme is spot on being fresh yet homey. This rescue will make such a difference in keeping Nicholas in sight and safer. Joey is such a polite, caring young man! Another perfect rescue! The experience the family received from the race track is priceless.

George's channel is extremely under-rated. He does the work that should be done on many of those home improvement shows where they get way too carried away. George keeps everything in perspective and does an awesome job. I stumbled across his channel and love the stuff he does.

I love the dad.. he smiles and laughs which is genuine but u can tell behind it though he crying a little inside. Not that he doesn’t love his son ... it’s what he said at the end which I already knew. He wishes his son could talk & truly express himself. ❤️🥺😢

Time his 5 now and my daughter and husband keep reading to him spending time with him one day words come out every now and then now he's reading with whisper but when says hi Grandma to me I just that God for. Absolutely beautiful! I had to cry. My special needs little four year old boy can’t talk either and I understand how they feel. Our house is tiny and cramped and it’s tough when you can’t function efficiently with a special needs child and the extra needs that you deal with every day. I’m a huge fan of how the communities in this show pull together and help!

July, 2020 George, this is one of the finest videos I have ever seen of your program. I see it is a few years old, but it is still today. Thank you for what you did for this family, and to you, Joey, thank you. In 1999 I went to the Nascar FastTrack school at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and at Hendricks Motor Sports, so I know where this family is coming from. Again. Great, Great, Great video. D
They should ALL be "delicate demos" so that you can keep cabinets, etc. intact and recycle or donate them!

My brother had epilepsy. When we was 15 he had brain surgery to remove it. Then we found out that my brother had polycythemia Vera a blood cancer where the red blood cells grow too fast. My dad has had multiple heart attacks. He had a heart attack called the widow maker because his main artery to his heart was 99 percent blocked and he almost died on the table. And I like hurting myself. No not suicidal but like I have had 3 surgeries in the past year just from softball. Sorry I said all of this it feels good to get it off my chest
