    IT'S A UTILITY ROOM! Nothing more, nothing less! But great educational videos!

    Looks great. I agree with the trim at the bottom of the lighting box level with the doors, and possible square at the top all the way along. Tie the shaker look through with two small vertical pieces at 1/3 and 2/3. Also, possibly paint the front of the inside of the cabinets if your going for it! If you don't want trim over the top of the doors, could you take the bottom off of the cabinet sides and put the bottom back on higher, and move the doors up?
    Great work though as always, looks amazing for a utility. Keep up the videos

    It’s amazing to see how far you’ve come with that space, Tim. I know when you’re in the middle of it, it seems like it’s going to take forever, but you’ve come a long way and I appreciate you taking us with you. Your efforts seem to spur me on to carry on with my efforts. Big thanks as always.🙏

    Looking good.
    But as you said it yourself, there is something about the top section. I would but up some small panels at the top between the two cabinets doors, so they will come flush with the doors.
    Hope the above makes sence :)
    Thx for sharing.
    Regards :)

    Really good work. I like the pelmet idea. I need to do something similar above my kitchen cabnets to tie the cabs in with the ceilling. May be over hand a little to put downlights in or flush them to the kitchen cabinets. I've been think how to do this but not sure ig i should make the box out of plaster board and the plaster it or make it from MDF. Can you give me any ideas.

    Hi Tim - you seem to have the corded sprayer - can you please confirm exactly which model you have as the results are impressive. (Description only has a link to the cordless version). - I am hoping the corded one will be cheaper as I have a load of furniture to paint.

      Corded one wasn’t available as a link today but we got ours from Spray Direct, no regrets going with the corded for what we need and like you say £100 or so cheaper. 👍

    Is there another bit of trim to go on the top left hand corner?

    You have done a great job and should be very proud.. what tip do you use in your sprayer?

    • @TheRestorationCouple
      @TheRestorationCouple  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Think it was the 410 that came with it. Seems to be the best of the two that came with it for satin. Not experimented too much though.

    What paint & finish did you use?

    • @TheRestorationCouple
      @TheRestorationCouple  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This was standard leyland acrylic undercoat and then a Wb dulux satinwood mixed in store.

    It looked like you just had a few wires hanging down from the original thirtieth light when you attached the box to the wall.
    Would have been interesting to see how you attached the wires for the new lights after you'd screwed the box in

    • @TheRestorationCouple
      @TheRestorationCouple  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The wiring was the new supply put in by the electricians. I just replaced the old light with first one and then the other two were just wired to that. Hope that makes sense.

    Ummm.. There is a bit of trim "missing" on the upper left corner/above the left cabinet ?

    • @phillipjefferies7443
      @phillipjefferies7443 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sandeep V. Menon he explains at the end of the video that he has it left to do as the cornice wasn’t long enough. He has painted it it just needs to be cut.

      Cheap gazebo from Argos with some side panels! You can get a solid one expandable one for £30

    Why not put a trim piece at the back of the light box to bring it all forward to clear the doors? Looking great though, keep up the good work :) Mac

    • @TheRestorationCouple
      @TheRestorationCouple  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Did think that at the time but still think it would need the face frame to work properly. Might still be better so will have a look when back out there. 👍

      Fab job. I to am a keen DIY. It's the little things that you learn from video like this that help make the job easier. I've put a stair runner in after seeing you vid.
      Agree a pull the bridge unit forward 18mm and put quadrant over the gap or some of the trim you have used.
      Keep up the fab work.
