The combination of composition and improvisation that sparked a new movement and changed people’s perception of music.
Terry Riley’s IN C is nothing short of amazing when listening or performing.
In this video we will learn how to play IN C and learn the inner working mechanics of how it works in hopes that you will be inspired to write your own similar composition or music game.
There is so much to learn from this piece and how to work with musicians in creative ways.
This was a request. I thought I’d honor it as soon as possible as it’s also another entry in The Fakest Book.

Some day I'd love to be a part of an In C performance! Glad to hear the Mali one is your favorite, mine too. So many great textures and rhythms

Thanks for the kind words Bruno!
I just started this channel a few weeks ago. A couple of hundred subs already and growing. I thought it would take longer.
The Fakest Book is coming along. We have cleared less than half the material. My goal is to release it for free this year, sooner than later.

Thanks a lot Amar! You're too kind.
In fact, just a few hours ago I woke up and warmed up my day to that 6-17-2004 Free solo thanks to you.

The alert for this video woke me up. What a great way to start my morning! I've heard of In C but never investigated it. I never imagined how creative and brilliant it is! Stating how it's really just a way of using events makes so much sense and helps me feel confident in making my own similar piece of music.

FYI I really prefer the 8th note pulse...preferably on the b flat.

That would sound like a suspense score or something! A Bb with everything else in C? Might as well do an IN Atonal. I'd be into it.
