Got this for about £65 a few months back. It's great even better with crossmix. The dome switches on this are Great. A must buy for anyone with an interest in retro gaming.
This is one of the best value for money retro handheld. With Cross-mix, it’s almost grab and go, no tweaking needed. If they made a v2 with the same hardware but with better d-pad, buttons, and joystick, it would be perfect handheld for ps1 and below gaming.
Dpad and buttons are already perfect. Maybe sticks could be better, but I'm not really sure in this form factor. But a bit better chipset would give us better Dreamcast and PSP. Basically you would need a T820 though, so not sure you can do that at this price.point :/
@nihiltube no you'll never get it to that price, at least right now. But I really think this form factor and controls is great. But, as you mentioned, better sticks.
Cool. I'm pretty pumped for the brick actually. Also worth mentioning that those ports aren't necessarily 'switch versions' like sonic mania or Celeste, rather they are likely pc ports since thise games are both on steam and other platforms. Be careful of the Nintendo ninjas buddy.
@@adinwalls No need to be sorry!! Just pointing that out for future reference. Ports are difficult, but I believe switch ports would be nearly impossible
The TrimUI Smart Pro is an outlier. In it's price bracket there is really no competition if you want the best screen that amount of money can buy. Sadly it is not powerful enough to get the most out of it, unless you know what your doing and only play a few select 16:9 games on it. PS: Nice and relaxing review! You really know this device in and out and I think it shows.
I got one of these, but the basic version with 128gb.....can i buy a currated sd card for this device with all of these bells n whistles? including the new os?
Old time gamer, new to all these retro handhelds. There's too many haha. Did some research and torn what to get for a first buy. This one or the miyoo mini plus?
@@adinwalls Yeah I think that's gonna be my first buy. Only thing I am afraid of I am gonna be so hooked, so in a year I will have them all haha. Thanks for the fast answer dude!
After watching this, I couldn't help but noticed, we have the same ring. Oh and thanks for the updated review! Thanks to this, I was able to conclude that.. uhh.. okay.. I'm hungry. Gonna get some pasta
i struggled just choosing the colour of the thing alone! settled on white with white grips... so wanted the DMG as most of my anbernic h700 series are in DMG.... i think the price has crept up.... if you want the full monty bundle... but its still under 100 but no where near the 50 unless you just bag the handheld vanilla im also wondering about a comparison with the X55!
in this price rage the TSP is by far the best handheld! lovin my TSP with crossmixOS , all the portmaster games and so on GBA emulation on the TSP is also fantastic
Had Crossmix on my TSP for a while now love it. Playing lots of ports but can't get Fallout 1 to run as it just goes back to the menu, so I wonder if you tested if it works on your device? If it does I wonder what I'm doing wrong? Don't know if this is my imagination but PSP games seem to run a little better with Crossmix installed.
Hi. Love your videos Adin! Could you choose 2 favourites from these please. Taking into account recent updates in firmware etc. The RGB30, X55, RGB10MAX3, TRIMUI SMART PRO, RG40XXH or the RGB10MAX3PRO ? Thanks loads for your help
@adinwalls the thing is i used portmaster in my TSP, after a few research, the new update (latest version of portmaster) seems cause the error (Source: Reddit),so i need to reinstall it back to the old version 😕
None of my postmaster games load they are installed and when I select the game it just goes to loading then goes back to the crossmix dashboard. Not sure how to get postmaster games working .....any help?
I've been wondering if this device has a bit more headroom when it comes to N64 emulation through Retroarch vs the RG35xx. I just wanna play Ocarina of Time on Linux rather than have to experience constant crashing on Android with the Mupen64 core.
I use Mario Tennis as my N64 performance benchmark, and my 28xx will play it at around 90%, while my TSP only plays it at maybe 70% (so rather glitchy) and even then, its only on the stand alone N64 emulator that isn't stock.
It's not $100 because of inflation The trim UI smart pro is cheaper than it's ever been It has to do with overcharging for preloaded SD card with stolen ROMs..
The price is the best thing about this device for sure! Great to see it getting better and better
For sure

After getting one for myself I can confirm that out of all the
Thanks for sharing!

I think they should just tweak this one and bring out another one exactly the same with a stronger chipset

@@adinwalls A t610
I might just have to dig out mine and give this thing a tune-up. Thanks Adin!
Ya man Crossmix is pretty good

Fair enough re: Switch ports. But yes the Brick does look nice.
Thinking the price of the Brick to be a bit high as it's basically a vertical TSP without the sticks.
They're specifically PC ports, not "switch versions" indeed
@GabrielFreirev okay sorry about that

What a detail video!!💙
Thank you for this video Adin
Thank you for the video. I love this thing
Every time I boot this thing up I smile 😊
Hehe yup

Yes. From LITNXT
Old time gamer, new to all these retro handhelds. There's too many haha. Did some research and torn what to get for a first buy. This one or the miyoo mini plus?
Ah Miyoo Mini Plus is my recommendation. Perfect blend of retro and modern. Plus with Onion OS it's UST perfect.
@@adinwalls Yeah I think that's gonna be my first buy. Only thing I am afraid of I am gonna be so hooked, so in a year I will have them all haha. Thanks for the fast answer dude!
@@adinwallsdir which one gives best performance this or miyoo mini plus
@pushkarpardeshi1195 Trimui smart pro has better performance.
@@adinwalls sir how is the dpad and buttons compare to miyoo mini plus

Oh and thanks for the updated review! Thanks to this, I was able to conclude that.. uhh.. okay.. I'm hungry. Gonna get some pasta
Haha enjoy the pasta! The ring was bought in 2005 when there was a bit of a titanium ring craze.

Yes GBA featured in my comprehensive review.

Ah man. So many variables. I really enjoyed the rgb10max 3 but if you prefer something unique, rgb30
@@adinwalls ok, thanks very much 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
7:03 You mean Megahertz not millihertz , right? 😁
Lol yes
Give this thing the sticks out of the XU mini M and it would literally be the perfect handheld IMO.
True
Does this have L3/R3 buttons (joystick middle button)?🙏
No it does not
How does yours can run Celeste? Mine already updated to crossmix os ,but after installed the game it can't run on my TSP, just how?
Portmasters

I think I heard you have to move files from the PC ports of the game into your device to prove that you actually paid for it.
I had to first update postmaster itself. Then install a game, then find it in the ports section of the emulators.

Are there any Linux-based devices that does so that's cheaper than a Steam Deck and does not run Android?
I'd stick with it if dpad diagonals weren't so recessed on mine
Joysticks are definitely not great on this
Which color do you think is better black or white
I’ve had both now… I don’t know haha
I’ve had both now… I don’t know haha
But in which of the two you often like play
So I should get mine in the mail soon no card I ordered the crossmix sd I just pop it in and I’m good to go right?
Yup. If you buy a Crossmix card everything should be set up for you
Awesome
Can you get ninja shadow of darkness running on this
It's a a PlayStation game so I'm sure you can
I ordered a sd card from go game geek have you or anybody else ordered anything from them I’m hoping I didn’t get burned
I wonder if this console can handle a 3DS?
It's not $100 because of inflation The trim UI smart pro is cheaper than it's ever been It has to do with overcharging for preloaded SD card with stolen ROMs..
Exactly. They can be had for under $50 easy. An SD card and software do not add $50 to the value of this. For sure not worth it at $100.
Thank goodness for this cards!
With all these improvements, its still can't really play N64 Mario Tennis. 😢
